Paul Pierce will deserve it but they will give it to Kobe just to keep him from whining about not getting it.

Lol. TP. I can see it now:

Kobe: You promised I'd get Finals MVP!
Stern: The media wouldn't vote for you because your team got swept.
Kobe: So. Don't you control the media?
Stern: Usually but I pushed too hard over the reffing scandal so they wouldn't budge on this. If you had won however.....
Kobe: You promised we'd win too.
Stern: The refs could only do so much. The Celtics did shot 55% for the series and outrebounded you guys by 10 a game.

I want Rondo. I was making a case a while ago on another board that he was our 2nd or third best player so I am going to half to put myself where my mouth is

I'm rooting for Ray Allen to get it to make up for getting oo-scrayed out of the All Star MVP.

KG will get it. This will be the series that defines his career and he will forever lose the label of non big game player. Look for 26ppg, with 13 juicy rebounds and 2 block per game- Tell me how the Lakers can stop KG without constant double/triple teams...

Series over in 5 in Laker Land. Celts Win!!

Side prediction...2 celebrities get arrested for dui after the game as they drown try to drown away the pain

PS-Whenever I say KG will do something..PP ends up doing it and the Celts win anyways..so either way, we are safe!

Pierce.  The Celtics' home grown superstar. 8)

I was off by 2 points for KG but hit the rebounds! Wow, that was a sick game..beyond sick...it took awhile for the endorphins to really hit me but once PP went down, I felt like...oh my god...when he came back...flashes of bird and his bad back coming back out of the tunnel resurfaced and I knew we were alright..can we have co mvp's....either way, I still believe we will win this in 5 in LA...wow...this is awesome....Celtics vs. Lakers..Defense prevails once again and we have a hungry bunch of vets on our team that will bleed Celtics green until their very last ounce of blood to assure we get where we need to go....

When PP came out of that tunnel, hairs that I never knew I had stood up on ends and chills went throughout my body, heart and soul...God, he truly does have the heart of a champion and anyone who does not see that after this game is watching the game with gold and purple blinders on....Kobe still has no Shaq and PP has KG and Ray Ray...and a bunch of fighters who refuse to lose....

Celts Win....Celtics Win...3 More to Go...We need to round up up the Posse and get to LA to enjoy what is inevitable...Number 17...going to the Rafters...

  • Yup
Pierce was your MVP tonight, but KG probably should have been if

1) they kept going to him when he was hot in first half
2) he could have thrown the ball in the ocean the secondhalf

Either way, I'm a happy camper
Yup

The TRUTH! Paul Pierce, NBA Finals MVP! I remember watching the draft ten years ago when PP slipped to us at number 10!

I remember thinking he was gonna be something special!

He stuck with the Celtics for 10 long losing years. He never demanded to be traded, he did whatever he was asked to do, he re-upped and expressed his interest in being a Boston Celtic for LIFE!

Now he's our MVP. Like many others on this board, I called it, I knew it! So HAPPY!!!!

KG and Ray Ray are awesome talent. Posey and Rondo are great! But Paul has been here through it all! RESPECT! THE TRUTH!!!
(nba.co hasn't updated his page yet but I was pretty close with his stats, I think he had 21.something ppg and 6 ast .... truly great all-around performance!

BANNNNNER 17!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

June 17 2008!!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
