Pierce.  He is the one guy the Lakers really have no answer for.  KG will be double teamed quite a bit and will facilitate/defer to Pierce.  I'd love for KG to win it, but I think it's in the Celtics best interest that Pierce be the go to guy.  Ubuntu.

I do think that if the Celtics win, it will be because Pierce is the driving force. The only guy who can defend him, aside from Kobe, is Trevor Ariza, who hasn't been a part of our rotation throughout the playoffs due to injury.

Kobe can't guard Pierce. Paul has never once struggled while facing Kobe. Not once. He can maybe get a couple steals here and there if he's on Paul but he simply cannot guard Pierce one on one.

With that in mind, Pierce averages 27 for the series and the C's win in 6 or 7 while Pierce takes the MVP honors.

Pierce wins the MVP, scoring 29.7/g as the Celts win in six. Vlad Rad is supposed to stop him?

The real most valuable player, however, is Rondo, who turns Derek Fisher inside out.

It has to be pierce for us, if its not, it will probley be a laker.

Paul is the key to this series, be in the attack mode youve been in the last 2 series paul, not that jump shooting guy from the atl series...

Who votes on this thing?  If it's the media, I'm saying Kobe Bryant, despite a Celtics sweep.

Kobe will average 40 ppg on 26% shooting, the Lakers will go down in flames, and the media will ooh and ahh his every move.

How ever did you get all of those pretty gold stars????

Paul Pierce will deserve it but they will give it to Kobe just to keep him from whining about not getting it.

Haha.  True enough.  Although you should check out my Kobe haiku in this thread.  Top notch stuff, if I do say so myself. ;)

Paul Pierce, our most clutch player on both ends of the floor, and people here still won't put him anywhere near the same league as Bird.

The laegue will give the MVP to Kobe even though the Zebras will be the Sterns real MVP.
Should be Celtics in 5.
Will be Lakers in 6.
