I will be really happy if we resign Baby for $3M. Big Baby is playing himself into a $4-5M per year contract.

"When has Powe never been **** on, and or cheated in life" is the correct question at this point.

Scalablob,

Good things come to good people.  Although it's hard for somebody like Powe to remain patient after yet another setback, I have faith in Powe's indomitable spirit and work ethic to get a well-deserved multi million dollar contract....just not this year.  My heart goes out to Leon and his family.  Maybe we'll catch you guys next year when Powe has made a 100% recovery.  :)

BBD is better becuase of his offensive ability, and the fact that it seems as if Powe's knees are a serious issue. but i love them both.

Davis honestly hasn't done much in this series. He is getting killed by height and length which he lacks. Joahkim noah is easily stuffing davis's shots game after game

2.5 million for 2 or 3 years is looking like the right deal to attain davis

Really? Cuz im pretty sure that Glenn dropped 26 and 9 last night and was wide open the entire game

If Davis had done any more in this series he'd be Ben Gordon. I have no idea where that post two ago comes from - there's not a shred of fact to it.

Davis is becoming a priority resign.

I've yet to see Davis get a CONSISTENT 20/10 game as Powe has when he's started. RA had a great game to, but I don't expect 30+ points from him tomorrow, as I don't expect 20/10 from big baby, or 26/9. BBD is a weak rebounder he's showed this multiple times, the fact he got 9 rebounds doesn't change the 3 he got in 40 minutes in game 1, or the HORRIFIC lack of rebounds he had BEFORE the playoffs. Tri is right with the salary, he's not worth more then 3 million. Mikki is a better rebounder/jumpshooter then BBD but doesn't have the weight. Powe had that woman Joakim's # and he had that ****y Varejao's as well. BBD DOES struggle against centers that have more length. The most prominent being RASHEED WALLACE, Rashard Lewis also gave him fits (thats more PF though).
True Celtic = Leon Powe

Bring back the show!!!!

I really like both Leon and Baby. They are undersized but watching Mikki Moore fake hustle with limited results just makes me appreciate even more the way these two use their strength, their useful hustle plays and the energy they bring to the floor. I hope they will both be Celtics next season. At a reasonable price for Baby and at full strength for Leon.

Glenn Davis is a lazy, fat pansy and he's undersized, get rid of him. He does great things for his size, for his size doesn't matter. His peak has been reached, if he wasn't a Celtic no one would give crap about him. Leon's a man and a warrior, lock him up.

Baby's been busting his tail for the last month or two.  If you think you think he;s reached his potential, great...But I haven't seen anything to justify the lazy assessment.

Fwiw baby is quite a bit younger than Powe. In what for me is surprising info, Powe and Perk are born only 10 months apart. Guess who is younger?
Perkins.

How much upside does perk have? He is 14 ms older than baby. 3 mos older then giddens

He's fat cause he's lazy. Sure, he hustles, but other than knocking down open j's and 4th option wide open lanes to spin around that's all he has left. Leon's a flat out scorer and rebounder, both of which he can create against pretty much anybody. Baby's also a goof, he's annoying, he melts down frequently, not only when he's crying. I just don't like him, he's gets too many free passes because he's wearing green. I'm not trying get people defending him here or anything, just not the type of player I'd want on my team. Honestly, I think he's a joke.

Wow - this thread has become nonsense....

Glen Davis is allowing the starting 5 to play at a comparable level to that which they played when KG was here - his ability to nail that spot-up shot allowed the team to score 115 points in the last game...nobody should be calling him "useless" when every team in the NBA looks for a big man that can hit the open shot to open up the court for drives by perimeter players as well as getting single coverage for the low post.

What sucks about Powe's injury is that with he and KG out the team now has only Perkins actually playing in the low post. It was bad enough with KG out, as the team typically fed Powe/Perk about 1/3 of the touches they should be getting based off their efficiency.

If Davis is going to get 21 shots that's great - but this team is completely perimeter oriented right now and only KG commanded enough respect and demanded the ball enough to establish any type of post presence.

Give Powe or Perk 21 shots and I guarentee they'd be at the line 8-10 times and convert over 50% of their attempts as well - but post play is a feature offensive option and this team is led by 3 perimeter players right now - no way they were going to ride two role playing bigs on the inside, even if both were hard to contain with single coverage.

Give Davis credit - in the first game he was doing way to much dribble-driving. In game 2 he sure and heck took every set jumper that presented itself and he made 'em count.

Unfortunately, we now have exactly ONE post player left and as good as Perk's been playing, the team has to understand that they can't just go to him until he misses a shot - if Pierce, Ray, Davis, and Rondo are all allowed to miss 8-10 shots in order to get their points, someone should inform them that the post players deserve a similar chance to prove that they can be more efficient.

No Chicago player has stopped Perk in single coverage - any feature player will miss 40-45 percent of his shots in the post, but you need to draw defenses down low if you want to create consistent offense from the perimeter.

Chicago sux at defense, so Boston has gotten away with transition offense and a lot of penetration by Rondo - but if they want to put the Bulls away and have any shot at winning another round, they've got to invent some post play.

I don't think Perk can handle D Howard on the Block consistently, so they are going to have to get Pierce and maybe even Bill Walker down there some with an inverted offense using Davis' perimeter shooting to create a one-on-one scenario.

The level of defense they've been playing necessitates an effective post game - this offense is fools gold right now...

Great post Bill.

What will be interesting to see is if Doc will utilize Pierce on the box more.

If Perkins gets into foul trouble, Doc may have no other choice or he could go super small with Tony Allen or House inserted into the first unit.
