The officiating was atrocious, where is Sexyscottish?

I must ask how one man can go to the line more than an entire team. The officiating in regards to LeBron is a joke. I mean if they called traveling like they were suppose to, LeBron would probably still be scoreless for his career.

In tonights game I have seen 4 illegal picks on Boston, none on Clevland.  I've seen Big baby get hacked 4 times and nudge Lebron.  I've seen phantom traveling twice on Boston, not once on Clevland.  I've seen Z literally push a guy out of the way.  I've seen two defensive three seconds on Boston and not one on Cleveland.  This is just the start.

Thid game was decided when the momentum shifted the end of the haalf.  The way the Cavs were playing the C's should have been up by 15 but the refs kept them in it.

The NBA should be ashamed.  there should be a way to evaluate and regulate blatent officating of this manner.

I disagree with you. Davis did not take bad shots. He grabbed offensive boards, and put the ball right back up. Thats not bad. He got banged every time, so he missed. No calls. Thats on the refs.

He didn't deserve calls, and his shots were terrible.

are you kidding? you all right? wait did a ref from last nights game hijack scintan's account. Come on he deserved atleast a few calls under the basket, and I didn't see him taking any bad shots, they were all within 5 ft of the hoop. You know. The type of shots you want someone like baby taking.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the refs didn't read these blogs sometimes and do this crap just to stir us up and urinate us off.

I agree, the officiating decided last nights game. When they called th charge on Pierce,I almost lost it.Ithought for sure the C's were going to win that game. The C's played as hard as anybody could ask ,to see the refs negate there effort was very tough to swallow.I hope Dock brings Posey,Poe,T.A,House, and Baby off the bench on sunday they have excellent chemistry, and I believe the   Cavs bench can not match the energy of that unit. This is game 7,we need to make a example out of Cleveland, send em packing. We are a better team.As far as Pierce,I saw a glimpse of the old battle tested Pierce last night if Pierce plays, with his heart Labron is going to have atough night on both ends of the floor,Pierce Drive,Drive,Drive to the hoop.C's crash the boards.Ray light them up.Rhondo do your thing, and you'll be fine.Perk,K.G its show time.

everyone is making great points and i know a couple of people have touched on this, but im going to take it a step further.
I love basketball and the NBA. i/my family have been season ticket holders since '90 (i think), and im strongly thinking about ending it.
after years of watching david stern ruin this sport, i cant take it anymore. it use to be that MJ (#23) was the exception to getting all of the calls, but now every team has at least one player who is above the rules of the game. (and especially to whomever is the home team.)
THE NBA IS MUCH CLOSER TO WWF THAN NCAA BBALL.
why do you think that all of these home teams are winning? do you really think that home court is THAT big of an advantage? if so, then why isnt the regular season even close to home/away results of the post season? im glad that Wilbon touched on it last night. I dont subscribe to the theory that the NBA wants more money, therefore is dragging the series to game 7's. However, i do think that what we are seeing is what happens when the officials twist the rules to favor the home team.
and after a summer when an official was arrested by federal authorities for fixing games, i expected much much more. instead what we got is more of the same. In the NBA, the rules are not black and white, they are Black, White, with a large gray area between.
i love the celts, and i will still watch them on tv. but i cant justify spending all of this money on a league that treats its sport more like Entertainment than a sport.
Mr. Stern, i go the movies to be entertained by fictional means. I watch sports for the competitive nature of the games. You sir (and your officiating cronies) have dissolved this league into no more than a money machine. You are clearly more concerned with the bottom line, than the respectability, integrity, history of this sport.

sorry for the long rant. but after watching all of these games (i cant believe how many calls tim duncan gets) im sick of it. and the game last night was so unfair and bias, it should be reviewed. or at the very least shown to NBA refs as a example of what they are doing wrong and its effect on the game.

I agree with so many of these points. DICK BAVETTA BELONGS IN THE WWF!!

The refs have shown how incredible they are all series long. They get all the calls right. All of them. Then they send in the cooler. That game had fix all over it. The league wants a game 7. Tell me that the NBA doesn't know what Bavetta does for the home team? 3 HUGE CALLS by Bavetta...

1. Lebron reaching in while moving getting a charge called. That was one of the worst calls I have seen in a long time.

2. Pierce taking a charge earlier on Lebron, that Bavetta was going to ignore, so an outside ref made the obvious call. Bavetta ncalls an offensive foul the next possession to make up for it.

3. Lebron steps out of bounds before running into Perk (who surprisingly was set). The ref calls Lebron out, nearly overturning Bavetta who looked like he was about to call a block. Bavetta INSTANTLY calls Perk for an offensive foul the next possession to make up for it.

Bavetta generally picked on Baby and Perk all night while letting Varejao and Wallce play is physical as they wanted. It was awful to watch.

The refs have shown that they can be so good, so why is this man allowed to come in and play to the home crowd? This is an NBA problem, not a refereeing problem.

You could do a great 20:20 piece, breaking the game tape down and showing all the blown calls.

They do evaluate the officiating. You seem to be under the assumption that the league doesn't want the calls to go the way they do.

yea, ESPN looks like they are already promoting a Kobe-Lebron finals, what a joke of a league.

I was going to post something like this last night.  To me, it seems the NBAhas been heading in the direction of the WWF - especially this year.  Its all about star power and they are the ones that get the calls because of who they are - not what they do necessarily.  And why is it that so many series that everyone though would be 4 or 5 games are going 6 or 7?  There's a lot of money to be made for each game played - maybe that plays a factor...?  I am a huge NBA fan and do not want to see it turn into a freakin circus but I'm afraid its already well on its way there.  Hopefully the C's can overcome the refs and all the other crap tossed their way.  They just need to play well enough that the refs don't matter.  And they will in game 7!

Exactly.  They DO regulate it - I think thats why they suck so much.

I also love how they never showed a replay of the horrible traveling calls or the 4 fouls on Screens by perk and big baby!! ESPN must be in w/ the refs for not showing those replays to see what really happened.

Can someone explain why Ray's basket should have counted? I know it hit backboard, but it hit the SIDE and had no shot to go in? I'm just curious on that

I thought the second quarter was the worst. How is Boston supposed to make any sort of run when we were in the penalty with 7 minutes left before half?

KG would make a big shot, then Baby would get called for a hand check and the Cavs would get it back at the line.

Pierce makes a turnaround, then on the other end Wally gets bumped by Allen trying to turn the corner and gets it back at the line.

We really had our best shot at putting up a sizable lead, but it was too easy for the Cavs to keep the pace.
