This team is completely forgetting what has gotten us to this point. All we need to do is play OUR game, the one we've been playing all season long ... this is like watching a completely different team!

Ray is -7 in 18 minutes. And I really can't see what's he supposed to do when Wally is shooting 4 ft away from the line. OTH, Rondo is -11 in... 12 minutes. The kid is killing us. With him in the floor, our offense plays 4 vs. 5. All their defense is based in a single thing: leave Rondo alone. We can't win this way.

  • Screw you too, David Stern!
Lets all say it now.

This is a good 3rd quarter team.

Think Positive.

How about trying Tony allen on Wally..He might get some hoops going to the basket..

Rondo has to take some shots they are treating him like a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.

A few calls on the posst and or drives to the basket the Cavs are coming up clean on every steal
See, this is why I'm not allowed to announce NBA games -- I'd be talking in the Cookie Monster voice right now:

until they can win on the road we are all going to extremely frustrated -- and unless they win on the road they are not going much further.

simply amazing

You are 100 percent correct.  If they get by Cleveland they will never get by the Pistons unless they prove they can win one on the road.  Just the worst half of basketball they have played all year.  The playoffs is probably not the right time to do that.

On another note -- with the point guards sucking so bad, wouldn't it have been a good time to insert Eddie House into the game in that first half?

Team has home court through the playoffs. Didn't realize the 'have' to win on the road. Since when is it taken away if they lose on the road? They can go quite far if they win all their home games like they have been doing.
Actually, if we win all of our home games, we win the title gauranteed.

Droop, I am just pointing out that it has never happened in the history of the NBA.

Lookit, This game is exactly what the Caves had to do, you didn't think they were going to lay down did yous?

Granted the Cs are playing discombobulated in this first half, nothing we haven't seen before, and I'll add so have the Pistons, your so perfect tem...Shakes head...

At worst, we lose a game here, so what!

Well, nobody thought Dallas would lose to an 8th seed last year. Not many thought it was far fetched that the Celtics would lose game 7 in the 1st round. Strange things have happened lately. I say why not? But hopefully they win a game or 2 on the road eventually. I added this to my post earlier but how many teams with home court advantage has won game 3 in round 2 so far? Can't think of one. So I ambacking away from the ledge.  ;D

Really amazing piece with Bill and KG ... would like to see more of that. Celts need to come out here and play like their lives are on the line ... like they've never played before. They've GOT to prove to themselves and the world that they're not a fluke, and now's the time. Dig in, dig deep, reach for the heart, and do what you DO!!

Van Gundy could not be more right about needing Rondo to step up.
