A lot of Hawks fans are hollering for a KG suspension, because of his contact with the refs during the Zaza scuffle.

Do any of you guys think the league steps in and sits our superstar?  My guess is they let this one slide.  Stern might go over-the-top with discipline at times, but he's not stupid enough to jeopardize having KG and the "big three" in the next round, if he can avoid it.

The globe mentions today that Perk and KG may be suspended for game 5 for touching the refs during Zaza's drama last night. What is the chance of them actually being suspended? That could hand this series over to the hawks. I would stop watching the NBA if this kind of stuff costs the celtics their title shot.

Perk is almost definitely a goner (as is Marvin Williams).  He came off the bench (no matter how slightly), so a suspension is automatic.  If the refs suspended Amare and Diaw, they'll get Perk and Williams (although Perk didn't come very far onto the court.)

Roy I'm sorry to tell you this but guy the looks of that picture KG is going to be suspended.  The only way I could see him not being suspended is that KG back was turn from the ref so it could have been anyone holding him back adn KG did not know if was a ref.  But or coarse they have 20 different camera shoots to look at.

Heck there goes the series.

I am worried about KG having his membership in "The League of Clutch" revoked.

stern and the refs gave game 4 to the hawks...i would not be surprised if he tried to help them in game 5 as well. he is such a rat.

i have been saying for years what a snake stern is and so many people on this site said I was crazy. people are finally starting to see the truth about that snake.

Plus Stern has always had it in for Red because Red would call him out on some of the shady things Stern would do.  I'm not saying Stern is telling the refs to call the games in the Hawks favor but a lot of shady business has been going one since the team got to Atlanta...ie...Shot Clock not working....Using the Hawks a.p. annoucers as the clock keeper.....The booty early foul calls on KG and Paul in both games.

i think so, he elbow'ed a ref (UNINTENTIONALY) when he was trying to shake people off him. If stern wants to, the excuse is there....

There's no way Perk should be suspended for that, look at the replay he was already on the court when the skirmish started and he never moved towards it when Pachulia came at Garnett, he actually was pushed backwards by a coach, he can't anticipate the future

If KG get suspended then I'm going after Stern. That would be the biggest BS of all time. Yea he throw an elbow but when Pachula came after him he just stood tall and took it. Kidd decked Pargo the other night and that was much worse.

Perk might get suspended, but if he does than Williams will have to as well.

Yikes, I didn't notice Garnett shove the ref, although in his defense it really was more of a something where the ref grabbed KG (during a heated exchange with ZSA ZSA) and KG didn't didn't want anybody on him at the exact moment. Not like it is a real excuse but it was not as big a deal to me. Unfortunatley our opinions don't really matter here.

Perkins and Williams, I guess, are gone...Either way its all a little ridiculous but this is David Stern's NBA we're competing in.

It would be VERY dissapointing if our starting C and arguably our best player are out for game 5....It could be dissasterous

Is it just me or are we going a bit too far with the "blaming others" excuse? If we cannot beat the Hawks, no matter what, with KG or without him, we are just not worthy of even having a shot at the title. Full stop.

It is not like the Hawks are one of the better teams in this league anyway. They were not even that "hot" - unlike the Warriors last season for example - going into the playoffs either (5-5 in their last 10 games), so this one, if we blow it, which I believe we wont, is entirely the Celtics fault, even sans Garnett.

A superior team just has to come through on the big stage, in close games but mainly in games that count. In the NFL Playoffs, the soccer World Cup, the improbable might happen and the better team can loose on a bad night and that's it, there is no possible come back, everything is decided in one game. In a  best of 7 (SEVEN!!!) games series you cannot possibly blame anyone but team if they cannot deny the Hawks and make it to the Conference smis.

If the NBA suspends Garnett, and I assume they will, after having seen the images, the rest of the guys should step up and take care of business at home, like they have proven they can during the regular season. And even if the Celtics were to loose game 5 and the series, you cannot blame it on Stern, because actually a team that supposedly has a shot at the title, should be able to close out the Hawks in 5 games max and overcome situations like these.

I think its nit-picking to suspend Perk and Marvin Williams,....... they had a foot on the playing court, I don't think that means they are getting into the fray....... If they get suspended, that is weak.
