I think he meant that, while he is a little upset, the issue doesn't merit the media circus it has stirred up.
It's just funny that we all have to think and interpret what he said, rather than him just going out and saying so, like Tatum did...he's clearly enjoying the attention and the fact that he thinks he's mind-bleeping everyone, plus the fact that the viewers of his podcast just went up by 20% probably 
Yeah, JB likes to see his name in the media. He's a complex person psychologically. He wants constant praise, but he thrives off criticism. He's got an enormous ego, but he also seems to genuinely care about giving back. He loathes conformity, but he seeks validation from the outlets that push that conformity.
