It all comes down to money. Do the Celtics want to extend brown for 70 million a year when he turns 32/33?? I wouldn?t
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

That's what some NBA people are saying. Money is more a factor than JB wanting to still be here. SMH

Could they really feel like they only want one max guy going forward unless he is top 5?

Most of these ideas are basically taking back multiple role players and pick(s). Not excited about that. Now if it's someone like Donovan Mitchell or Sengun in these deals, I'd at least listen. I love Murphy but he is NOT Jaylen's level, I'd need more though idk if the Pelicans would want to do that.

Also people are against the Jaylen 2/141M extension, newsflash, a lot of NBA players are getting overpaid now because of the market. Reaves is gonna get 5/240M. Young just signed 53M a year. Giannis will likely get 70M a year at age 33-34. It's how it is. If they reach benchmarks, Ant/Doncic and even Lamelo Ball are projected to sign 300M+ deals after next year (Doncic closer to 400M)

None. Just keep him. Try to move Hauser for a piece and add with your exceptions to round out your roster.

The east is now pretty stacked with Quality bigs, especially Miami. Not sure how you compete with that by keeping JB??

I keep hearing that there is a deep market for Brown....but i am not really sure there is. And Brad is going to be very selective IF he goes that way. Could be in for a long summer into fall.

I can't believe I am saying this of all people but, With Tatum in his Prime, isn't it about winning another title?? It is not about whether we love JB or not, it is how can we get to the Finals again??
People saying stay put, What am I missing???? The East has gotten better!!!! The Sixers didn't beat us, Joel Embiid did!!
We just can't compete with teams that have a quality centers right now. Many of you seem to want to shop the bargain basement bin and think we will compete.
I think you win now or build for the future, show me a path to win now without trading JB and I am all in.  I will enjoy the Celtics no matter what, but getting past the Knicks and others will not be easy.

Yeah, I think they had a better chance last year. San Antonio with that high draft pick or a rookie Stephen Castle. Two top prospects, blue chip prospects, who could have been gettable 12 months ago but aren't anymore.

My response to this would be of all the players and packages mentioned the only one we can say with absolute certainty can with a title with Tatum IS JAYLEN BROWN. We KNOW it's a good enough pairing. We've literally seen it work.

A JB bidding war would be terrific.

Maybe, but is Castle any better than Brown? I am a big UConn fan and love Castle, but I don?t know if I would trade home straight up right now for Brown. We need an All Star center to compete in the East. Or should I say win the East. I think Brown is awesome!! But without a big we are not going anywhere!! I think people forget we had Al Horford, Porzingas and Kornet!! That was a nice rotation! Now it seems people feel JB is no good and no one wants him! What??? JB is Great!!! But JB and Tatum are and were never enough. That is the issue, it really is not that hard, you need a really good big, a great wing and a good PG.
We have the wing, I like White, a good bench, we need the really good big again!!! If we do trade JB, please, not for another JB!!! Otherwise I would just keep him and we will be decent. We won?t make it to the finals, but I do love the J?s!!

Does your brain ever go to *what if there actually is a deep market for JB?*. Since you don?t really know one way or the other it would be ok to consider something hopeful.  I appreciate your dubious outlook at times and agree with it sometimes, but in the last few days the pessimistic posts are a lot.  Obviously I have no idea what Brad will do.  Maybe nothing. Maybe something.
