Why will Charlotte do this?
the page comes up as "doesn't exist".  what was the proposed deal?

Might've been this from an account I've never heard of you before which, you know, is probably totally legit.

BREAKING: The Charlotte Hornets are finalizing a trade to acquire Domantas Sabonis from the Sacramento Kings for a package centered around Grayson Allen, Grant Williams and two first-round picks, per sources
seems like Sabonis was acquired pretty cheaply.  I like that for Charlotte.  Kings still leave me shaking my head in bewilderment

This is not true or accurate.

The Sacramento Kings have not spoken with the Charlotte Hornets since weeks before the NBA Draft per a league source.

I don't think this particular rumor is valid.  Matt George is a local SAC sports radio guy.  It does appear to be true that Sabonis wants to be traded.  I like him.  Too bad SAC didn't try to do something for Brown.

Two firsts (Charlotte to me still projects to yield decent picks) and a couple of useful players is not bad for Sabonis.  I suspect his contract is an issue, much like Brown.  But this trade as stated doesn't even work financially so it is kind of moot.  This may or may not be representative of his value.  Grant is expiring.

Not that it would work, but this deal is about like trading Hauser, Mitchell and two firsts (with the picks probably not being as good).

Guys, this didn?t actually happen. It would be on ESPN by now if it did and shams would be the one breaking the news.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

The Clippers and Mr. Ballmer are still trying to figure out how to respond to the punishments from the N.B.A. Among the potential moves they are considering is whether to bring a lawsuit against the league, asking a judge to issue a restraining order, the two people said. The people briefed on the matter cautioned that it was uncertain whether the investigation would lead to criminal charges, or even result in evidence being presented to a grand jury. They spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a continuing investigation.

Honestly, the fact he was still floating around was pretty impressive.

Phoenix Suns center Mark Williams underwent surgery Thursday to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder and will miss an extended period of time, sources tell ESPN. Williams suffered the injury in an offseason workout.

Injured already ....

I remember drafting Jrue Holiday and Taj Gibson as rookies in the CelticsBlog Draft umpteen years ago.  They've both made me look way smarter than I am.

John Konchar has agreed to sign with the New York Knicks. Konchar is in his eighth NBA season and split time in 2025-26 with both the Memphis Grizzlies and Utah Jazz.

Konchar has a strong opportunity to make the Knicks' regular season roster and will compete for one of their two open roster spots.

Nice signing for the Knicks. Scrappy quality defensive player with dodgy offense. Sort of an opposite version of Shamet or J Clarkson. Good option as 3rd string.

The New York Knicks plan to sign Drew Eubanks to a contract with a chance to compete for one of their two open roster spots.

Eubanks appeared in 42 games last season with the Sacramento Kings, averaging 5.2 points and 3.0 rebounds in 13.1 minutes.

That would be another good 3rd string pickup late in FA. A replacement for Hukporti. Drummond the replacement for Mitchell Robinson.
