Jrue Holiday and the Portland Trail Blazers are finalizing a contract buyout, and Holiday intends to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers once he clears waivers, according to reports.

How are the 76ers able to sign everyone this offseason without being capped? I reckon this would make them Finals favorites if Jrue lands in Philly, basically his original draft team.

The power of LeBron is crazy.  Jrue is presumably declining a $37 million player option for next season so he can sign a minimum contract to be a backup.

EDIT:  That said, do you have a source for this?  I have not seen this from anyone even half reputable.

This is probably the most frustrating thing I've seen this off-season.

Who is reporting that?

Why would Portland buyout Jrue?

This seems like fake news. Shams would have been all over it.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Yeah, I see nothing on the Oregonian or on SBnation's Blazers Edge site. I don't think it is real. Nothing on RealGM. Nothing on Hoopshype.

On another note, Portland are not bringing back commentator Kevin Calabro. Apparently the new owner low balled him in salary negotiations and he decided to walk. One of the better announcers in the NBA. That cheapskate owner strikes again.

If you're gonna post nonsense, at least cite the source where the nonsense originated.

Heck if Holiday was bought out, I figure he would come back to Boston first before going to Philly

Which is less likely, Holiday gets bought out and signs with PHI, or GSW trade Curry to BOS?  I don't see either of these as even close to reality.  Both just totally made up and posted.  The original was probably something like POR could buy out Holiday and if they did, he could sign with PHI.  They someone else posted a reference to the original post, and so on.  Then someone on ESPN says there is chatter that Holiday could go to PHI.  Kind of like the Haitian are eating pets rumor (was that in Ohio or something), that made it all the way to Fox News.
