Anthony Chiang: So, Wiggins will make $30.2 million this upcoming season. Then he agreed a two-year, $34 million extension through the 2028-29 season.

Barry Jackson: OK, clarity on all this, from @Anthony_Chiang and me: Wiggins will get $30 M this season; he opted in (as @JakeFischer said). This gets him under contract for $17 M range next season.

$17mil a year seems fair for Andrew Wiggins. I would have valued him at the MLE. So close to that.

While the Heat's intention is to keep Andrew Wiggins, he is still immediately eligible to be traded even after agreeing and eventually signing his two-year extension.

Barry Jackson: So Heat can use about $12 M of its $15.1 M midlevel exception this season and remain under $209 M hard cap - presuming the other players they sign are on minimum deals. Wiggins' 3 year, $64 M deal includes an opt out for 2028-29. So Heat gets Wiggins guaranteed for 2 years in front-loaded deal.

Ira Winderman: According to NBA source the major giveback from Wiggins is in the first and second years of that two year-extension, taking a reduction to $16.5 million in the first year and then $17.5 million in second year. So the saving vs. cap/tax not immediate, but rather down the road.

Shams Charania: Just in: Miami Heat forward Andrew Wiggins intends to a sign a three-year, $64 million contract to stay with the franchise, with a player option in the third season, sources tell ESPN.

Yossi Gozlan: Miami Heat salary cap situation with Andrew Wiggins opting in, Pelle Larsson opted in, Dru Smith guaranteed, and Jahmir Young opted out. They have $20.5 million under the hard cap to fill five roster spots. It'll be much harder to re-sign Norman Powell without additional moves.

B Marks said they have no picks next season so a win-now player like Jaylen would be good for them. Maybe they have more future picks. Absorb most of Jaylen's contract into their cap space and give up several first rounders. Was that the idea?

That is a surprise. Why give him more than the minimum? Good to luck to him anyway. I liked his effort when he was here in Boston.

Yep, but I think it is a good sign that Ayton did not think he was going to get much more than $8.1 million.  He is not awesome, but it means the center market is likely not too hot.

Nets have a swap with Houston, so they do not control their own, but they do have one (two actually, since they also control the Knicks).  They also have a couple of their own, NY, Philly, and Phoenix in 2028 (these time more favorable ones, so they control their own pick.  It?s complex but they have 2 of those 4 including the best one).  They also have their own in 2029 plus the Knicks and one from Phoenix, Houston, or Dallas, their own in 2030, theirs and the Knicks in 2031, theirs and Denver in 2032, and their own in 2033.

So plenty of picks every year, just next year a negative swap of their own pick.

Mike Vorkunov: Beasley is accused of also working with bettors to hit the over on some of his stats. They bet on him to hit the over on rebounds in a March 10 Bucks-Clippers game. He did that in the last few seconds. The group celebrated afterward.
