If you can land Brandon Miller you do it, kids a great shooter with great size. He just needs to work on shot selection and getting to the line where he shoots 90%
I have been enamored by him since day 1. Shows flashes but has missed a lot of time.
Obviously just my opinion but for me Miller reminds me of another Brandon, Ingram. He is intriguing, but the reality is that their elite upside is all theoretical.
I don?t see Ingram at all. Paul George, yes. Miller is a great athlete. Ingram is not at all.
Vertical leap is irrelevant.
Brandon Miller is 23 years old, this past season his defensive rating was 114.3 (average to poor).
When Paul George was 23 his defensive rating was 97 (All-NBA first team).
When Brandon Ingram was 23 his defensive rating was 115 (average to poor).
Brandon Miller's defense looked better last season than it has in the past. I agree that in past seasons he looked a poor defender. He has height, length, quickness but not strength. Looked feeble. Got pushed around a lot. Bad effort on defense too.
Charlotte were impressive defensively in the 2nd half of last season. Mostly with Diabate leading the charge. Then big switchable perimeter players. B Miller did his part defensively. Looked solid. I thought a lot of that had to do with the system. I am not sure how well he will do defensively outside of that system. Does he reverse into old B Miller? Or does he maintain the solid defense?
Reminds me of how good Ray Allen looked defensively here in BOS versus his time in Seattle or MIL. B Miller looked good last year. Not in previous seasons.
