I think Brandon Miller, Naz Reid, and picks would be a pretty similar trade package to the supposed one by the Pelicans (Murphy, Jones, and picks).

Diabate would be an interesting player to get in the deal. One of the top 10 defensive centers in the league. Give us a 2 man center rotation of Diabate & Queta.

If you could get all 3 guys:

G: D White, Pritchard
G: Brandon Miller
F: Tatum
F: Naz Reid
C: Diabate, Queta

Or if you lost out on Naz because you insisted on Diabate. Maybe you take Miles Bridges instead.

G: D White, Pritchard
G: Brandon Miller
F: Miles Bridges
F: Tatum
C: Diabate, Queta

Still have Hauser and the young wings (Hugo, Baylor, J Walsh) to round the rotation. Those would be strong teams.

Apparently that new Blazers owner was only willing to offer Tiago Spillter a contract worth $1.0mil to 1.5mil per year. The average for NBA coaches is $5mil. That is why Splitter turned down Portland and went to Chicago instead.

I haven't seen what Micah Nori got. I imagine he also got the $1mil type range from Dundon.

I hope that when Nori?s deal is over he was successful and just walks away to a team that will compensate him fairly.  Reportedly they were negotiating with multiple coaches at once, hiring the one that would take the least.  If I were the GM I would be embarrassed and would also start looking for a new job.

They aren't going to trade their 2 big men. They want to add jb to them.

It would likely be miller,, bridges and. Picks

They are not going to trade both, no, but they would trade one.  They also have Kalkbrenner, who played well for them, and have a 6-11 lottery pick they just selected on Tuesday.  Diabate is due a large raise next year, and so this might be his last season there anyway.

If you can land Brandon Miller you do it, kids a great shooter with great size. He just needs to work on shot selection and getting to the line where he shoots 90%

I have been enamored by him since day 1.  Shows flashes but has missed a lot of time.

Obviously just my opinion but for me Miller reminds me of another Brandon, Ingram. He is intriguing, but the reality is that their elite upside is all theoretical.

Look I love the Celtics a lot, but trading Jaylen Brown for Miles Briges is the one thing that will make me renounce my fandom.

The Hornets are actively engaged in trade talks with the Celtics for Jaylen Brown, per
@mikelacett

That guy is apparently a beat writer/reporter in the Carolinas.

Bridges, B.Miller, and Mann. I?d probably make that trade.

That would be a pretty poor return for a durable All-NBA Finals MVP.

Both Bridges & Miller are rather unproven and on expiring deals. Miller only played 65 games this season & 27 the previous season.

Miller looks good.  He averaged 20 points on good efficiency on one of the surprise teams of the year.  He is a recent #3 overall pick entering the 4th year of his contract, so he is both extendable this summer and would be a restricted free agent next offseason if an extension did not happen.  He would be a good get.  He compares very favorably to JB at a similar point in their career.  Injuries are a legit concern. He has had a couple upper-body ones that have caused him significant missed time.  (Wrist in year 2, shoulder last fall with a surgery last month to further fix it.  That said, he played great despite being hurt most of the year, sort of like JB has been known to do).

Bridges no.  No reason to take him on.  It would be a PR disaster trading a franchise player for someone with his history.

Brandon Miller was actually the #2 pick, after Wemby. Scoot was #3. It took JB 4 years to get to 20ppg. Miller did that year 2. He is very talented and a freak athlete. Very good shooter as well with 44/38/89 splits this year.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

If it's true that Jaylen hasn't for a trade then I still think there's a decent chance he's simply back next year.

History tells you that to win the title you either need two all-nba level guys or an MVP + two all-stars in down years. Trading Jaylen Brown for a package like Trey Murphy + stuff essentially means you aren't a contender anymore, i can't see the Celtics being willing to do that.

That's why Jaylen for Giannis made sense, talent for talent. I haven't heard any other realistic deal that brings the Celtics back a player good enough to remain in contention and with three years left on Jaylen's deal there's no need to make this deal now unless you get that piece back.

I don?t see Ingram at all. Paul George, yes. Miller is a great athlete. Ingram is not at all.

Brown would have made more sense for the Hornets BEFORE trading LaMelo. He's a guy you get to pair with another star and go for it. The Hornets are now firmly orienting their team around Kon and Miller.

Can't see Kon/Miller being in a Jaylen deal, an there's nothing else there I'd really want.

Is Brad going to do something or are we standing pat and moving forward with the roster as constructed? If so it'll be another one and done year

We need some actions. Some noise. This is like the meme where a guy is holding a stick poking at Brad telling him to "do something"
