Sam Amick is reporting the Bucks want the Celtics to add more than just Jaylen, including multiple first round picks. Excuse me??

I would not even do the trade to begin with but if that is the price then whatever, Milwaukee can keep him or trade him for that Miami package. That is insane.
I would be okay with Jaylen and 27 or a future 1st, but not multiple. That is insane. Who would we be bidding against?

I have no desire moving White for anything Minnesota might have to offer. That seems like a step backwards for Boston.

Naz Reid? No thank you. Just keep your roster and sign a FA big because Queta cannot start for this team at center.

I don't know about Jaden McDaniels.  Last season only 4 or so rebounds in nearly 32 minutes.  What is going on with that?  He seems to look good on paper or in theory, but then I watch him play and I don't see it.  Definitely not White for Naz Reid.

If you see him as a forward, you will be disappointed. If you see him as a guard, he's preetty awesome. He's one of the best guard defenders in the NBA.

Tell Milwaukee it's Jaylen and either 27 or future 1st otherwise they can kick rocks.

Remind them they do not have the leverage and Celtics do.

Yeah, McDaniels is like Mikal Bridges. They defend quick perimeter players and defend 1-3 at an elite level. McDaniels is a bit bigger and longer and can play better defense at PF as a result than Mikal Bridges can. Highly versatile and highly effective defensive player.

McDaniels and Mikal Bridges are quick footed defenders more than physically powerful defenders. Use their speed and length to disrupt people rather than their muscle (like Anunoby can).

---------------

Agreed with Vermont that 4rpg is bad for a player with McDaniels' athleticism, size and length. A guy with his physical tools should be an above average rebounding SF if not trying to be an elite one.

Like I said, McDaniels is not as good a player as D White but he is a lot younger than D White at only 25yo. D White is 32yo. That is why I would trade D White for him. If they were the same age, I wouldn't do it.

His offense isn't great either. Not that good of a shooter. Low volume 3pt shooter. He shot a good percentage this year but he has done that in the past and then dropped back down the next year. Given that his volume did not increase, I would be doubtful he can maintain that shooting going forward. He has been consistently at 3.1 to 3.7 three pointers per game throughout his 6yr career. He shot 41% this year and 39.8% three years ago. In the 2 in-between years, he shot 33.3% from three. He is also not much of a passer / facilitator / connectivity player. He is a great transition player.

I'd probably rate McDaniels in the 10-15 range among SFs. The PG position is loaded so I'd rate D White in the same 10-15 range there. He is easily a top 10 SG and arguably a top 5 SG in the league. Although the SG position is the opposite to the PG spot and probably the weakest position in the league.

It is more about getting a bit younger but still having an effective player alongside the Jays while also adding more height & athleticism & aggressiveness to the roster. Take an immediate step back but give yourself more options moving into the future.

Seems like if it's not Giannis, they are very interested in Trey Murphy as a Plan B.

The Timberwolves are interested in White too. Whether it's a 3-team deal involving NOP-BOS-MIN, or maybe they flip White to the Timberwolves and get back maybe 2 players (Reid and a role player), the C's have some options.

Idk if Murphy can be had without Jaylen though, but I wouldn't trade Jaylen for just Murphy either
