Queta's agility on the court is pretty striking. A couple of years ago he looked like a baby deer, just limbs going all over the place, uncoordinated. And he still has those moments - in particular some of his landings scare me. I'd like to see him protect those knees more.
But I watch the stuff he does, like backpedaling and then flipping his hips to run with a guard, then elevating to contest the shot. That's defensive back stuff... at seven feet tall. Also watched a play last night where he caught on the perimeter and made a simple one-bounce drive to the basket, and he actually got low and crossed to his left to avoid Cam Payne's attempt to swat at the ball before switching back to finish with the right. Again... at seven feet tall.
I've mentioned in other threads, but it's a pleasure to watch these guys visibly improve as players. Guys come to Boston and get better at the game. Everybody on this roster, save Vuc who has only been here a month, is a better player now than they were when they got here. Some orgs can't do that, man. Don't take it for granted.
