Queta just had the best game of his career. 27pts/17rebs/3blk/2ast/1stl. What a stat line. He just keeps getting better.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Dominant night.  He keeps growing and the guys on the floor with keep figuring out to work with him better.  Skies the limit it would seem.  What a joy to see guys improve like this.

Liked him since day 1.  Just looked like he could be the one and his improvement this year has been amazing.  And since the Vuc trade, I've seen some extra motivation.

I thought he had proved himself to me earlier in the year.  I am glad to see him doing well.

We have much better player development under Joe Mazulla.  You can see guys improving.

I've said it before but him playing EuroBasket this past summer was the best thing that could've happened to him in terms of development and confidence. Paying dividends now.

He won't win the award, but is there a more improved player in the NBA than Queta?  Very few players develop like he has.

Keyonte George had a pretty big year 3 jump. He?s averaging 24pts/7ast/4reb with shooting splits of 46/37/89. He torched the Celtics both games this year. Tatum had actually mentioned him in an interview a few months back.

During a recent interview with former NBA vets Marcus and Markieff Morris, Tatum was asked about some of the young stars he's seen develop into early standouts through the season, where he went on to praise the Jazz's own as the player he's seen to make the biggest jump in the league.

"Keyonte George in Utah," Tatum said. "I remember playing against him last year and seeing him play when they came and beat us by like, two, a month ago," Tatum continued. "I'm sitting in the back and talking to Jason Terry and Will Hardy, the coaches from Utah, and I'm just watching the game... I'm seeing... he's got a different burst, and a different confidence about him. I'm sitting on the bench, like, he really worked on this game this summer, and I can tell."

Queta's agility on the court is pretty striking.  A couple of years ago he looked like a baby deer, just limbs going all over the place, uncoordinated.  And he still has those moments - in particular some of his landings scare me.  I'd like to see him protect those knees more.

But I watch the stuff he does, like backpedaling and then flipping his hips to run with a guard, then elevating to contest the shot.  That's defensive back stuff... at seven feet tall.  Also watched a play last night where he caught on the perimeter and made a simple one-bounce drive to the basket, and he actually got low and crossed to his left to avoid Cam Payne's attempt to swat at the ball before switching back to finish with the right.  Again... at seven feet tall.

I've mentioned in other threads, but it's a pleasure to watch these guys visibly improve as players.  Guys come to Boston and get better at the game.  Everybody on this roster, save Vuc who has only been here a month, is a better player now than they were when they got here.  Some orgs can't do that, man.  Don't take it for granted.

Good post on Queta.  He is an NBA athlete with NBA length.  And now he has figured out the game.  The team is using him in the best possible way also, don't underestimate that aspect.  A lot of players with NBA athleticism and length never figure it out or get the situation that allows them to figure it out.  Trust me, I am not taking that for granted.

Queta is 26.  I hope Amari Williams is watching and learning.  Amari is 24.  Similar potential trajectory, but he will have to work as hard as Queta has worked.  I think Amari could be better than Queta.
