Thinking the next few years, White and Jaylen can disrupt Luka a bit. But I don't think the Lakers have anyone who can realistically stop or defend Tatum consistently.

the defensive factor is why Jaylen can be argued as a more-deserving MVP candidate than Luka.

I would not have said this before this season. But seeing how much Jaylen's improved and Luka's continued poor defense, I've changed. I'm not gonna argue with others though, it's still close and there's definitely a conversation to be had about who is better in terms of carrying a team and winning playoff rounds. Luka might still be better and more transcendent in that regard. But the defense can become an issue in the playoffs. Ask Harden. And we saw it in the 2024 Finals too
