Looks like POR is trying to get in the hunt for Giannis. Interesting.

J. Grant + S. Henderson + R. Williams + however many 1sts it would take? According to many of the mock trades Ive seen, the Bucks could certainly do worse for Giannis who has been injured constantly these last 3 years and wants a massive extension.

PG - D. Lillard
SG - S. Sharpe
SF - D. Avdija
PF - G. Antetokounmpo
C - D. Clingan

Bench - J. Holiday , C. Love , T. Camara , Y. Hansen

Thats an intriguing team - horrible floor spacing but intriguing.

I think Avdija or Sharpe has to be in the deal for the Bucks to consider it.

If Giannis wants to be traded THIS season, I do not know why Houston would not get a deal done.

They have the necessary picks & players to get a trade done & their roster is a great fit for Giannis. I get that Sengun is their guy and he looks like an All-NBA calibre prospect, but Sengun is not an MVP level player and you have 37 year old Durant.

Bucks: Sengun, VanVleet, multiple picks & swaps

Rockets: Giannis, Thanasis

Houston Rockets

Sheppard
Thompson
Durant
Giannis
Smith Jr

Why would Milwaukee want Grant, Scoot & TimeLord?? They have to include Clingan before I start talking
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Shams Charania: ?Over the weekend, the Bucks remained engaged with NBA teams that have interest and have made aggressive proposals.? ?My understanding is they?ve submitted counteroffers to those aggressive proposals as well.? ?The Heat, Timberwolves, Golden State Warriors, and the New York Knicks?those have been the most serious suitors out of the mix so far for Giannis.? ?But it all comes down to the price point for him, right? A young player and/or a surplus of draft picks.? ?So, who meets that mark between now and the next four days, up until Thursday?s NBA trade deadline?? ?And the Bucks have to manage it: the risk and reward?whether you do a deal now, or you wait for the offseason, when Giannis only has one year left.? ?That gives him even more control to figure out and dictate his future in the offseason.?

Shams brings up a good point:  in the off-season, there will be more teams that can make a move, which potentially opens up a wider range of options for the Bucks.  At the same time, it also opens up more desirable options for Giannis, which might lead him to fixate on a team or two and force his way there, ironically limiting the Bucks' choices.

Bucks should move him now if they are going to move him.   They will get a high pick this summer. If they wait that isnt guaranteed.  They can use the summer to reset rest of roster.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

and also improve the second rounder we're due from them this year.  NO seems to be doing its best to worsen the second rounder we're getting from them

The Heat can offer a blue-chip young talent in Kel?el Ware, who is third in the NBA in rebounds per 36 minutes at 14.7 (behind Mitchell Robinson and Andre Drummond) and second among all NBA centers in three-point shooting percentage at 41 percent, behind only Denver superstar Nikola Jokic. The Heat?s offer, according to a source, is widely expected to include Ware, Tyler Herro, Terry Rozier?s expiring contract, and another young player or more, as well as first-round picks in 2030 and 2032 and possibly first-round pick swaps in 2026, 2029 and 2031.

The Heat might need to acquire another first-round pick to sweeten its offer. That can be achieved in several several ways. Among them: 1). Try to find a team that will trade a 2026 or 2027 first-round pick to Miami for Andrew Wiggins. 2). Amend the protections on the first-round pick due Charlotte. That first-rounder is lottery protected in 2027 and unprotected in 2028. If Heat waives the protections and Charlotte agrees to accept an unprotected Heat pick in 2026 or 2028, that would free up a third first-rounder to trade to the Bucks.

So the starting lineup for Miami woul be:
Davion Mitchell, Powell, Jacquez, Bam and Giannis? That?s not a championship caliber team. If I?m Giannis, I?d force my way to the Knicks. KAT and and however many firsts it takes for Giannis. Bucks can flip KAT for more firsts.

Brunson, Hart, Bridges, OG and Giannis is a contender. Hopefully that trade doesn?t happen, though. Would be a tough team for the Celtics to beat.
