Lowe was throwing out there the Clips trading for AD.

Kawhi for AD

Mavs

G: Kyrie
G: Klay / Max Christie
F: Kawhi
F: Cooper Flagg
C: D Lively

Open up the floor for Cooper Flagg. Still have a strong defense in the frontcourt. Two legit go-to scorers who can get 25ppg. Cooper Flagg as a versatile 3rd star while he develops.

LAC

G: K Dunn
G: J Harden
F: Derrick Jones Jr
F: AD
C: Zubac

Yikes, that small forward spot is dodgy. You would like to have a shooter in there with a double big lineup and K Dunn at guard. Nic Batum = old man. Bogdanovic = old & slow. You could play Harden at SF but I am not sure the guard depth is any better. A youngster in Cameron Christie. An old man in CP3.

Maybe trade for AD. Play him at center. And trade Zubac for a SF. Start John Collins at PF. Collins can work at PF next to AD better than Zubac. Derrick Jones Jr and Batum are solid bench forwards. That could work well.

all that comes to mind is the number of people here who were screaming to trade JB for Beal back a few years ago.
that one never made sense to me and I obviously have proposed trading Brown a lot.

Davis to the Clippers makes a lot of sense for Clippers, not much the Mavs would want though.  Likely need a 3rd team to take Zubac and provide draft picks/young players to Dallas.  Even then the Clippers can only trade 1 future 1st, Also I don't really see a path to Davis for them.

Stick a fork in the Clips.

The Kawhi Leonard era has been a colossal failure.
yup.  franchise has gone nowhere since signing Kawhi.  what a waste of a lot of money by that franchise

Thunder have the right to swap first rounders with the clippers this year.

Imagine them adding a top end lottery talent to that team.
