Scal is doing the halftime show for the Rockets/Lakers game on Peacock. Weird.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

If Denver still had MPJ, I?d probably have them in there. Cam Johnson just hasn?t been good and is not a legit 3rd option.

I don't think Cam Johnson needs to be a 15-18ppg scorer for Denver to win. The improvements of Aaron Gordon and Peyton Watson have made up for the decline in scoring punch from MPJ to Cam.

Aaron Gordon is their 3rd option now. Ever since he developed that 3 point shot, he has become a consistent scoring option.

Peyton Watson has been giving them 15ppg in 30mpg this season. He has improved his scoring punch. So you have P Watson and Cam Johnson as 4th and 5th options behind the Big Three of Jokic, J Murray, A Gordon.

I think they have plenty of scoring punch.

The Rockets offense is just putrid. Lot of relying on Durant, but Reddick made a great adjustment by just having the Lakers double him in the 2nd half, and HOU had zero answers. Kind of reminded me of the Nets-Celtics series in 2022 where the C's doubled or just ran a swarm defense on KD. He had some trouble scoring at will but it also forced him into bad decisions.

Still baffles me they've had a need at PG ALL year long, and never addressed it. Some of this though has to be on Ime. He is a defensive-minded coach, but is he capable of having a good offensive system, or able to make adjustments on that end as needed? Doesn't look like it to me. HOU feels ripe for a first round exit.

THJ a much more efficient 6th man than Westbrook was for them last year; having a great year shooting the ball. I really like their depth this year. Night and day from where it was last year.
