If Denver still had MPJ, I?d probably have them in there. Cam Johnson just hasn?t been good and is not a legit 3rd option.

I don't think Cam Johnson needs to be a 15-18ppg scorer for Denver to win. The improvements of Aaron Gordon and Peyton Watson have made up for the decline in scoring punch from MPJ to Cam.

Aaron Gordon is their 3rd option now. Ever since he developed that 3 point shot, he has become a consistent scoring option.

Peyton Watson has been giving them 15ppg in 30mpg this season. He has improved his scoring punch. So you have P Watson and Cam Johnson as 4th and 5th options behind the Big Three of Jokic, J Murray, A Gordon.

I think they have plenty of scoring punch.

The Rockets offense is just putrid. Lot of relying on Durant, but Reddick made a great adjustment by just having the Lakers double him in the 2nd half, and HOU had zero answers. Kind of reminded me of the Nets-Celtics series in 2022 where the C's doubled or just ran a swarm defense on KD. He had some trouble scoring at will but it also forced him into bad decisions.

Still baffles me they've had a need at PG ALL year long, and never addressed it. Some of this though has to be on Ime. He is a defensive-minded coach, but is he capable of having a good offensive system, or able to make adjustments on that end as needed? Doesn't look like it to me. HOU feels ripe for a first round exit.

THJ a much more efficient 6th man than Westbrook was for them last year; having a great year shooting the ball. I really like their depth this year. Night and day from where it was last year.

That's also tough because of how tight the race is between seeds 3-8 in the West. Phoenix is the 7 seed and only 2 games behind them too, and they play each other tonight.

Maybe they could get Drew too.  Sorry, but I've soured a good deal on the Drew-Scal show.  Way too many laughs and jokes, repetition, nicknames.  Both have skill and I think Drew could go a long way esp as young as he is - good knowledge, great pipes - but I'm tired of them in Boston (already).

I think Drew would work well with an analyst type next to him. Problem is, Scal just isn't that guy. I thought last night's broadcast was better with Eddie House, even though House isn't excellent either he was trying to analyze the game and make points and bouncing off Drew's comments. Scal just acts like a fanboy and also rips the other team for a bunch of random stuff which I can see why opposing fans are also annoyed by it. We would be too if another broadcast did the same. And sometimes Scal's interactions with others like Abby are weird and even inappropriate (it only happens from time to time but is noticeable)

Scal is better just in the studio or in pre and post-game shows. Not commentating.

They are bad. I was really hoping for Max and Grande. Would be nice if there was a radio broadcast audio option on the TV.

Good for them for winning all their games, but their schedule included:

Wizards x2
Nets x2
Mavs
Bucks w/o Giannis
Sixers w/o Embiid and Edgecombe
Bucks again
Blazers
Magic

It was a very light schedule.  Again, they had to win them and winning 10 in a row is difficult, but I would not necessarily call them on fire.  They get the Mavs tomorrow, so the winning might continue, but quality of opponent is doing a lot of work for them.
