The Cavaliers have the highest payroll in the league. And their small starting backcourt isn't ideal.
I think Simons + Hauser for Garland (Cavs would start Mitchell at PG) might be not be unreasonable.
In fact I'm not sure I'd even love the deal for the Celtics to add a 1st round pick.

Jalen Johnson tearing it up for Atlanta. Just hit his career high with 43. Putting up triple doubles almost every game. At 24/10/8 on 62TS% for the year. Hitting 3s too, tho at low volume. Up there with Austin Reaves for most remarkable leaps this year.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Atrocious reffing going on in the Minny/OKC game.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Ooooof, Oklahoma City sustained loss #3 of the season.

Are they coming back down to earth?

[Chris] Haynes then listed three targets for the Warriors, including the Mavs' Daniel Gafford, the Nets' Nic Claxton, and the Blazers' Robert Williams.

Quote
"Those are three names who are on the Golden State Warriors' list of targets, to try to bring in a rim-running, block-shot defender. I was told they are really serious and they are trying to do everything they can to try to get the team back to being of the caliber of a championship contending-type," added Haynes.

Quote
"They are looking for size and athleticism. You look at the Warriors - rebounding and block shots, they're in the bottom half of the league. And points in the paint, they are dead last. So they are looking for an athletic center," said Haynes on NBA on Prime.

I don't think GSW has the floor spacing for a rim runner at center. With Draymond and Jimmy Butler, they need that 2nd big to be able to space the floor.

Big Al at 39 yrs old was supposed to be the answer to that shot blocking, rim running athletic big. But we all know how that has fared so far. And now they?re in the market for another one. I wish Al would have just stayed. He would have been a nice vet presence for this season?s iteration of the Cs. His presence would have also been great for JT as he navigates through his rehab. Oh well.

wouldn't be surprised if he gets bought out after this season and he comes back for one last year here

The second year of his contract is a player option, so he can leave if he wants.

The Chicago Bulls & Atlanta Hawks just put up 302 points (152 - 150) WITHOUT overtime.

I doubt there was much defending being played there.

A lot of middle of the East teams suddenly struggling.

Toronto is 3-7 in last 10, Clevland is 3-7, Miami is 2-8, Atlanta is 3-7, Milwaukee is 3-7.

Meanwhile the bottom of the East has been comparatively better.

Charllotte and Brooklyn are 5-5. Indiana and Washington are 4-6.
