Tari Eason and the Houston Rockets were unable to agree to terms on a contract extension before Monday's deadline, but there was mutual interest and may have come down to how much of the contract was guaranteed for injury. Eason played in 82 games as a rookie, but just 22 in 2023-24 and 57 in 2024-25.

"From what I understand, they made Eason a strong offer," said Brian Windhorst. "It was in excess of $100 million, but I don't know how much of it would have been guaranteed."

Last season, Eason averaged 12.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.7 steals in 24.9 minutes.

$100mil for a bench player? 25mpg 12ppg?

Even if there was a lot unguaranteed, it is hard to see him getting anywhere near that money next summer.

Wemby does something outlandish like every other possession.  I hope he stays healthy, because he's 1 of 1.  Never seen anything like him.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Forgot about Wemby and the Spurs...with the right talent and roster assembled (and a little bit of health luck), they might pose a threat to OKC.
