The Patriots are signing ex-Jets OL Alijah Vera-Tucker to a three-year deal, per Ian Rapoport.

When healthy, this guy is a stud. That'll help the line tremendously hopefully.

Saw that. If healthy he is just what they need.  Probably will play LG. But he has had a long string of serious injuries.

This is a solid signing.  The OL now is Campbell, Vera-Tucker, Wilson, Onwenu, and Moses.  They'll need to address RT at some point in the draft as Moses is a little long in the tooth.  Now, just go get Doubs!

Hate to be negative about this but three separate tendon tears in his 5 seasons is a big red flag.  Obviously the Pats front office knows the risks better than me and decided to go for it, but he seems like he?ll be an injury waiting to happen.

3 years, $42 million (with another $6 million in incentives)?  Remember when interior linemen used to be cheap?

I have not seen anything relative to the guaranteed portion. I am guessing (hoping) the guarantees are not big based on the injury history.

Jets fans were nauseated to hear this and basically said "watch him finally be healthy and play all 17 games this szn"  ;D

Like that the Pats are addressing the OL (think its a bigger need than WR) but not sure this is the guy.  Would like to see them make a couple of more moves via FA, trade, or draft to shore up the OL  We saw in the playoffs that the protection upfront is pretty suspect.

Doubs, who?s only 25, had 202 catches and 21 TDs during his career in Green Bay.

Sounds like 4 years/$80M for Doubs.

Doubs is a weird player.  There are weeks where he looks like a clear cut #1 WR, and other weeks where he completely disappears.  That's probably what $20 million per season buys in this market, I guess.

Seem better off with Diggs if that is the price for Doubs

I'm seeing 4/70. I might be with incentives to hit 80, but that's unclear.

I'm fine with it. He can give us Digg's role, at 25 without the diva problems. He just isn't as talented. I think we still need to swing on an alpha receiver this year or next.

I'm not sure what the correct number is.  Jeremy Fowler had it at 4/$80M.  Then Schefter tweeted 4/$70M.  Then Ari Meirov tweeted this which would sound on par with both.

The #Patriots deal with WR Romeo Doubs deal is a 4-year, $68M deal with $12M more available in incentives.

Max value: $80M
