The Patriots are signing Ravens DE Dre'Mont Jones, sources tell The Athletic.

Baltimore made a strong push to retain Jones, a midseason trade acquisition, but New England wins out, landing more pass-rushing help.

Seems like a good pick up.

According to a source, the Patriots have checked in on and shown interest in free agent receiver Romeo Doubs.

It remains to be seen if a deal gets done, but Mike Vrabel?s team continues to explore the receiver free agent market.

Solid player, but with Diggs gone, the team needs a No. 1 receiver, which Doubs isn't.

Well, the Pats spent last year on the defense. Was hoping they would spend some on the offense this year after making the SB, but it doesn?t seem to be going in that direction.

Yeah, seems like they're gonna rely on the draft to improve the O-line and TE, which is expecting too much, IMO.

It is only the first day of the off season.  So far, all they are doing to replacing players that are not coming back.  I don't mind what they have done so far but expect it only to be a start, only a fraction of all the transactions/additions.

Perhaps AJ Brown is still in play since I haven't heard much news about him yet. There's also Doubs that they're trying to pry over

Ironically, the best available WR this offseason besides maybe AJ Brown (via trade) is... Stefon Diggs

But also, is anything being done for the O-Line? Lowe went to SF, and he was a solid backup tackle. Besides that it's still mostly the same and they traded Bradbury away. Kind of alarming. Some guys I thought they'd legitimately be interested in like Suemalo went elsewhere.

If the OL is still the way it is I'm afraid Maye is gonna get killed next season. They need skilled protectors!

Hmmm do y'all think the Pats might trade Gonzo? There are chatters out there that he may be expensive and Kraft may cheap out on this

Idk but regardless if they cheap out this offseason then that's an epic fail. It's still just Day 1 of FA, but I'm not that optimistic. They seem to have a pattern of spending big one offseason and then doing not much the next few. Then you have reports saying the Pats are operating with "cashflow" in mind (aka they have "issues" and can't do too many big moves).

Meanwhile some other teams like the Chiefs, Ravens, etc. are getting noticeably better this offseason already.
