I guess it was only a matter of time before he gets into trouble again. There goes our WR1 and our playoff run.

His defense attorney is attempting to block the specifics from being released, and is reportedly attempting to work out a financial settlement.

In other words, something happened, it looks really bad, and Diggs is attempting to buy his way out of it.  I'm guessing the Pats will have absolutely no problem with Diggs playing if that settlement happens.

IDK about anyone else, but my immediate assumption was that the accuser is female even though no gender was mentioned in anything I've seen/heard.  Would it change anyone's view if the accuser is male and the assault was the result of Diggs being harassed at a club after the game? Still not good and still assault, but a different feel to it. At this point Diggs categorically denies the accusations and the team is standing by him.

According to Mike Reiss and Marc Bertrand, it was involving his personal female chef over a money dispute. Not good.

The big question is if the league will do something under their provisions.   It's a lower threshold for the Commissioner's Exempt List.

There are definitely power dynamics and personal biases that come into play, but the felony nature of it *and* the attempt by the defense to impound the file from the media makes me think that there's something there.

I read the court documents that were posted publicly just now. The way the altercation is described seems bad, but it does seem weird to me that the victim refused to let photos be taken at the police station of the assault, and there's no evidence otherwise besides her word?

I'm not at all picking either side. We'll let the legal process play out. But it's "innocent until proven guilty", and for now it sounds more like a "he said, she said" thing.

It's here. I also am reading on Twitter, some of the text messages are also released but honestly it just reads as two people fighting about money, both sides seem ticked.

What I find wild is they leaked Diggs' address and phone number. Yikes. Probably an accident but that's also not good.

I've reached the conclusion that if the Bills are losing to the Jets in the 2nd half, the Pats should consider doing the same in their game even if it means falling to the 3 seed. Absolutely do not want to play Buffalo in the wild card round. Engineer around that

Not a bad strategy, but that really doesn?t seem like something Vrabel would do.
