Defense was the bigger issue yesterday.  They continue to play like that, they're going nowhere.  Pats offense had less than 8 minutes in time of possession in the 2nd half.

It's a growing pains game.  Played a very good & experienced veteran team.

They're really missing Milton Williams right now.

I agree on the defense. Absolutely needs to play better as a whole.

One other thing that's worrying me. In the 2nd half if the Pats don't trust the running game, what's the plan? Over the last month they've barely scored in the 2nd half and even some of the scores are either long Henderson TD runs or field goals. In fact, I read a stat that since Week 2, the Pats in the 4th quarter have two touchdowns and 5 field goals (the two TDs were a Henderson long run vs. TB, and the other was Gibson returning a kickoff vs. MIA).

They really need to figure out the offense in the second half too. If they can't sustain drives or put up scores then that could also hurt them against a good team. Even yesterday, if they had maybe 2 good drives (or even 1 sustained scoring drive that ate some clock) they could have eeked it out. But that didn't happen at all. The last two drives were 7 plays, 3 total yards. Oof.

They'll need to run the ball and eat some clock in a close game (or with a lead late to ice it) or straight up a touchdown drive in the 4th. Can they do it? Idk. There isn't much evidence of it, nor has it been needed since they typically dominated the bad teams. Won't work against these AFC playoff teams. Is it Maye? McDaniels? Both? I feel McDaniels, he gets too conservative or runs out of plays in the 2nd half it seems even if the 1st half goes great with creative plays.

Whatever the problem is, they need to be able to score conventionally in the 2nd half in the playoffs otherwise they about to get dogwalked. They're not gonna get the luxury of playing the Miami Dolphins in mid-January

NE @ BAL and looks like BAL -3.

Are the Patriots on "fraud watch"? But if New England wins, then they should be ready to hang with anyone in the AFC. If New England loses, then they are getting waxed in the playoffs whether it's in Foxboro or on the road.

Baltimore's home finale this Sunday before they go on two road trips to end the season. Pats' run D has suffered lately and stopping Lamar will be tough. Plus no Spillane, Campbell, and Williams. I predict the Pats will start off hot 14-3 in the first half, before going cold yet again in the 2nd half with the Ravens winning 27-20, ending their two game home-skid.

Depth is a problem for this team and late in the year it just shows more. Playoffs might be one and done

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

In a good way...this season is a success. Hanging tight with the Ravens.

Pats defense is beat up. I expect BAL to just pound Henry the rest of the game.  Not sure what is left of the defense can stop him.

Yeah..before the season started if you told me they were hanging with the ravens I?d be happy?but now? Nope. Should be blowing them out? oh well, been an awesome season either way but expectations have changed

This team has a MASSIVE second half problem. It's not a single issue, all of it is just bad systematically across the three phases.

Defense got a stop with no King Henry on the field, who knew thats all we needed! Time for Drake to lead them down the field
