After taking a the last few years off from football (because while I will watch and enjoy trash basketball, i despise trash football) I am right back in. I liked Maye out of the draft, but i never thought he'd be this good this fast.

The rest of the AFC East must be p---ed. Patriots get Brady for 20 years then take only a five-year break before getting another possible stud? Some teams stay in the darkness for decades at QB.

Patriots still have 6 games left against teams with 0, 1 or 2 wins. l they have to do is beat those bottom feeders then they'll get to 11 wins. The only games left where they won't be favored are probably @ Tampa (wk10) and vs Buffalo (wk15), and that Buffalo game is at least coming off their bye week so they'll have extra prep time.

This schedule has got to be one of the easiest of all time. Kind of makes me angrier they lost to Vegas in week 1.

Buffalo still hasn?t gotten to the promised land.   I wouldn?t say time is running out, but Allen hits 30 in May and you never know what happens after 30. But could have 5-10 good years left.
My in-laws are all upstate NY Bills fans and you couldn?t be more on target - Patriots being good again makes them crazy.  If Maye gets to the SB before Allen it will be unbearable for them. I keep my mouth shut.

Multiple defensive breakdowns on that first drive.   The 3 big plays were all due to defensive misses.

Very ugly game but I'll take the lead. In recent years and even 2022, this team would still be losing or something. I'm not worried still, I think the offense will open up a bit more in the 2nd half and I still feel Gabriel is due for a turnover at some point

It is very weird how every first drive the defense looks garbage. 6 of the 8 games so far the Pats have allowed an opening drive TD and one of them that they didn't was literally Buffalo dropping (fumbling) the football on their own and the Pats scooping it up, but they were driving too.

GREAT START TO THE 2ND HALF! 2 drives, 2 TDs, and 1 defensive turnover

That Hawkins interception could seal the deal.

Patriots five straight wins. Did I get into a time machine? Schedule has been soft, but this team sure looks pretty good.

  • What a Pub Should Be
I knew they were gonna be better and much more competitive this year but not ?6-2 after 8 games? good. Wow.

Yep

Next few won't be easy but honestly ATL is very beatable. Maybe Tampa not so much (I have that as a loss) but then it's the Jets-Bengals-Giants, feel confident they can go maybe 3-2 in the next 5 while having two free wins at the end (Jets/Dolphins)

11-6 should be realistic for this team, but really there's no excuse to not get 10 wins at least and a playoff berth unless something catastrophic happens like, god forbid, Maye gets seriously hurt.
