  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Frustrating start for the D, but they look better now and the offense is doing its thing. Hopefully they come out and impose their will by scoring on their next possession

Boutte is just terrific!

He's become such an awesome WR2 for us, and is also clutch in the 4th

To be up 4 after all that is crazy, and we get the ball to start the 2nd half (double score?)
Id love for them to always be on the lookout to upgrade weapons for Maye, but man Boutte has turned into a player. I think ideally he would be the 3rd guy to a true #1 and a #2 Diggs, but im happy with him.

I'm fine with adding a depth guard or RB, but defense HAS to be priority at the deadline. Two additions would be ideal, one LB (or pass rusher) and one depth safety

Agree. I?d also love to get Jakobi back.

But what a catch by Pop!  Clutch as well on 4th down. Maye was off on that one.  Pop saved it

Also kudos to Dobbs - a great play to keep the drive alive.

I don't think they'll add more than 3 players in a single deadline, but if they did then yeah I'd love all that!

Also LOL what was that from Ward? I literally left to take a bathroom break and came back and was like "wait how is it now 31-13"

Maye is so ridiculously accurate on those back shoulder throws. I can't think of many 23 year olds I've seen with his arsenal of different passes. He can rifle a pass, or feather it over a LB into a perfect spot in the second level. Its unbelievable.

(Just please add 1-2 more players for the defense at the trade deadline)

2011 Giants, 2010 Packers, and 2012 Ravens were wild card teams and won it all  ;D

Anything is possible!!

So far they've done everything expected of them after beating the Bills which was when they really started to raise some eyebrows. I think playoffs is definitely a realistic goal now, if they can remain healthy. Can't understand the influence of McDaniels, I know we all hated him when he was here but let's be honest, he's definitely miles better than Matt Patricia, Alex Van Pelt, etc. And obviously Vrabel pulls it all together, he's managed to get the most out of some of the disparate talents on the team - they're all synchronized, singing from the same hymn sheet and making each other better rather than being a rabble on the field like they were the last few seasons. It will be interesting to see how long they can keep it up and if they can build enough resilience to absorb the inevitable challenges that will pop up (injuries, bad form, poor execution, etc).

My one knock on Maye, he takes too many hits on his scrambles.  I mean, don't get me wrong, he is 6'4" 225#, but he needs to learn to get down.

Don't put me in that group.  I love McD as an offensive coordinator!  As an HC, pass!  I hope he realizes that's his sweet spot and stays long term.  Only thing I'd like to see, more of TreVeyon in the screen pass game, like White was!

AFC is in a bit of a flux at the moment but there is no reason that this team, given the schedule ahead & barring injuries, shouldn't make the playoffs this season.  It's set up for them.  They just need to capitalize.  I do feel like Vrabel is the right guy to lead them.  Everything about last week against the Saints and yesterday screamed "trap game" but the Pats didn't fall for it.  That's good coaching and team leadership there.

This team is really fun to watch and Maye is the real deal.

Unfortunately, Chiefs are beginning to rise up to the top.  Right now, they'd be out of the playoffs.
