Drake Maye continues to impress.  There are a few clear top QBs in the league, MVP level guys, Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, I will even throw Dak Prescott in this group.  But Drake Maye is right there with anyone else in my opinion.  Some of the next tier guys are on better teams or have more experience, more track record, but I think Maye can play with any of them in this tier, and he is still young for an NFL QB.

There is no doubt that Maye is making a leap this season over last.  Better coaching, better OL, Diggs helps, but I think most of it is just Maye having last season under his belt and him starting to understand it all better.  And I don't think that the OL has been great.  It has been fine, but should probably get better which would allow Maye to get better.  For example, the Saints OL was better.  I could only imagine how Maye would look playing behind that OL.

The offensive line for the patriots has been very good so far this season. The?ve done a solid job protecting Maye. That with McDaniels is a good combo for a young QB. Very reminiscent of what Josh did with Mac his rookie year. This is probably a more talented team, but it?s comparable.

Pro Football Focus currently ranks the unit fourth in the NFL in the pass blocking efficiency metric. They have allowed only two sacks, seven quarterback hits and 26 hurries in 153 snaps so far this season.

Yeah, I understand the PFF rankings and all.  I see the line as much improved over last season but based on what I have seen, it does not look like that high a level of OL to me.  I can only go by what I see which means I have not seen most of the OLs that PFF has ranked worse than the Pats.  Maybe all the NFL OLs are getting worse.  And I wonder how the pass rush of the teams we have played rank (kind of a strength of schedule for the OL).  I thought the New Orleans and Buffalo lines provide clearer pockets overall for example.

This OL may be benefiting from play calling and Maye play making so the results in terms of sacks and hits and hurries or whatever appear good.  And the OL is not run blocking well at all, which makes it harder on the passing game.  That could be the bigger issue.  Teams can commit more to stopping the pass as there is not much fear of the run game.

I saw a stat somewhere yesterday that since Week 2, his QB rating was in the one-hundreds.

Drake Maye passer rating in his last 5 games:

Week 2: 137.3
Week 3: 102.1
Week 4: 155.6
Week 5: 101.1
Week 6: 140.1

He playing at an MVP level?

So, are the Patriots going to end week 6 in first place in the AFC East?
Bills down 21-7.

This is a jinx I?d never do to the Celtics.

Wow - Buffalo with a big break at the half. Falcons inches from a TD as foot touched out of bounds.  Would have been 28-7. I haven?t watched a lot of the game but what I?ve seen, Allen not looking great tonight. Yet.

Interesting first drive. Ran all over the Titans but couldn?t get a pass off.  Nice job by Rhamondre holding onto the ball.

Boutte is just terrific!

He's become such an awesome WR2 for us, and is also clutch in the 4th

To be up 4 after all that is crazy, and we get the ball to start the 2nd half (double score?)

Id love for them to always be on the lookout to upgrade weapons for Maye, but man Boutte has turned into a player. I think ideally he would be the 3rd guy to a true #1 and a #2 Diggs, but im happy with him.

Maye is the real deal.....10/11, 110yds, 2tds, and 0 ints with a rating of 147.9.  Oh, also 43 yards rushing on 4 carries.
