The Aces swept the Mercury to win their 3rd title in 4 years and I'm not sure anyone saw it or cares. That is the real problem for the league i.e. that even when viewership is up (over a million watched each of first 3 games), no one talks about the sport.
The ratings are up, again, the league has problems for sure, popularity is not one of them.
Record breaking ratings, attendance numbers, valuations, etc. People seem to care and are paying attention, maybe not in your circles, but it's happening.
Personally, I could talk about the sport, I just don't talk about it here because this isn't the most captive audience for it (and I haven't been online here as much recently), and I don't want to be that one guy spamming a thread. A lot of interesting things went on this season though I would have enjoyed discussing with people here.
