Dang, I was really hoping AK would be around in the next round.

It was between McGrady and Embiid for my last pick (3.3).

McGrady was my 2nd choice SF after Pierce. Build a run and gun team. Likely with an athletic defensive C next to KG at PF and Nash at PG.

I am shocked McGrady lasted this long. I thought he would be a late 2nd early 3rd round pick.

T-Mac was going to be very tempting to me a couple picks later.

There goes TMac, I considered him back in round 3. Best talent on the board by far, but the usage/fit issue made him slide down.

TMac is a pretty excellent offensive engine for the Bucks.

If Draymond stays in the starting unit, that is a big lineup.

Klay was one of my three guys.

McGrady really only has 1 eligible year worth anything i.e. 04/05.  He was very good that year, but was also fairly inefficient as a shooter. I mean his TS% was only 52.6%. That isn?t very good.  Solid passer and rebounder, but not exactly a great defender either.  I had pretty much excluded him from my list as I just dont see the value as a complimentary player.

I will offer nuanced thoughts on TMac in a bit. I traded up to #1 to take him 2 years ago in the last CsBlog fantasy draft, with non Top 75 non current NBA players. He's a great player, and good value here, but I valued him significantly higher under those eligibility constraints than I did in this pool.

If you'd taken both Draymond and Klay by yourself between my picks at #27 and #34 I may have quit on the spot lol. You almost took both of my targets and it would've made me trade down I think.

until game 7 when they lost by 40.  When you never win a playoff series and show up very small in the close out game, I'm not sure it is a positive.

As I learned two years ago, Mo really doesn't like Tracy McGrady.
