Kobe is another one I am shocked to see last this long.

If he slipped further, I would have loved to pair him with KG. Mentality warriors. Imagine competing against 2 guys? Imagine having to be their teammates? How demanding they both are. Yikes.

Yeah. I figured Bean wouldn't get by you, but was hoping everyone just had a guy they liked a touch more.  I think Kobe and LeBron would have eventually been at odds, but for the first couple seasons, they would have thrived and made each other better and in this format, they would have been unstoppable on both ends.

One trend is developing in this draft that is a bit eye opening but also kinda not.

Based on the single season element, I think SGA is a 1st round guy. But I had 2 other guys I was considering.

He is a 2 way player who finished top 2 in MVP the last 2 years, battling with Jokic, and won the scoring title, MVP, FMVP, and a championship

I thought last year was Jokic's best season as a pro. Furthermore, I thought Giannis had his best season as a pro (improvement in midrange shooting). 2 of the 6 players in this draft. And SGA won the MVP over both them. Deservedly so in my view.

Hmm.  I think some of the MVP voting is teammate related, and another part of it is voter fatigue.  Individually, all things being equal, I don't think SGA is better than those two.  If MVP was the equivalent of best player, Jokic would have won it last season.  The guy averaged a triple double with tremendous efficiency.

With LeBron, I wouldn't have taken Tatum, but value seems about right (with bigger PF's I think Tatum should be SF not PF).  Great 2-way player.

I'm very happy with my team, but I've got to say, I'm a bit jealous of Moranis having the next two picks.

Orlando = Chris Paul + Tim Duncan
New York = Steve Nash + Kevin Garnett

Mirroring each other.

He is not better than those 2. But his season was better than Giannis?s last year and half of Giannis?s prime. To get a guy who can be in the same sentence as guys in the #4-6 range is a coup. It?s not a Curry-Giannis pairing, but KD-SGA is a lethal giant backcourt if I don?t add another Pg later, and I have all my picks

I think the list of guys on this list who were indisputably top 3 players in the league for even just 2+ years is def under 14 guys.  Lebron, Curry, Jokic, KD, Giannis who all played for close to a decade (or two) take up most of those available ?top 3? spots.

For me:

Durant > Giannis = main reason = jump-shooting
SGA > Steph Curry = main reasons = on-ball creation + defensive impact

You and Mo are going to clean up. I like a lot of the foundations here but the 3rd choice might be the old timer pair of TD/CP3

CFF with Chris Paul at #19 is amazing value. I had him in my top 10.

My top 10 draft board, even though I didn't have a top 10 pick anymore  ;D, looked like this:

Tier 1: 1) James
Tier 2: 2) Curry, 3) Jokic, 4) Durant,
Tier 3: 5) Wade, 6) Garnett, 7) Antetokounmpo
Tier 4: 8 ) Leonard, 9) Paul, 10) Nowitzki.

I guess I should have put Duncan in there somewhere  :-[.

But I was surprised that Wade and Leonard were available to me in the second round.

There's still so much quality left for the next couple of rounds that teams are going to be stacked. Maybe a few All Stars will even struggle to make a team.

For me:

Durant > Giannis
SGA > Steph Curry

I'll just say that I respectfully disagree.  SGA isn't in the same class as Curry, in particular.  Curry is one of the most game-changing players in history.
