After having Dwightbin prior ones of these, I wasn't sure how he'd be viewed here.  Great player. Deserves more credit then he gets all time, but is limited offensively.

Jeff Teague had a short 8min clip from his podcast just the other day debating Dwight Howard vs Anthony Davis. Teague went with Dwight. Said Dwight dominated the league at his peak in a way AD never did. I agree with Teague.

I think the topic came up in response to the Bleacher Report Top 100 players of All-Time. AD must have been ranked ahead of Dwight. Yep, looked it up. AD was #45 All Time. Dwight was #52 All-Time. Which also brought a 2nd reaction as to how can Dwight be #52 All-Time but not make the NBA 75 list.

I wouldn't be bothered by Dwight's offense in a league like this because every team will have so many scorers. He can just be opportunistic and give you 15ppg.

That said, I am looking forward to seeing how teams fill their center rotation. Will Dwight be facing lots of big body defenders who are strong low post guys? Guys who can defend him well. Or smaller skinnier modern centers that Dwight can abuse? That will have an effect on how highly (or not) I rate his O.

I think Dwight benefits from this kind of league where there's so much scoring and shot creation available.
Same in the real world.  There is diminishing return for loading up on scorers and shot creators.  The Heat with Lebron, Wade and Bosh.  Bosh's offense had to take a back seat

SGA is another excellent pick.  He's proper value in the top-half of the second round, I think.

There are two guys still out there that I rank in a tier higher than the other remaining players.  I'm curious where they end up.

I'm fairly sure I know one. Curious as to who the other is (assuming I do actually know one).

And paired with KD.  Strong combo.

Are your #6 and #8 gone now?   I'm guessing they were Wade and Kawhi.

My #6 is still out there.

Thanks, it was really tough.

Based on the single season element, I think SGA is a 1st round guy. But I had 2 other guys I was considering.

He is a 2 way player who finished top 2 in MVP the last 2 years, battling with Jokic, and won the scoring title, MVP, FMVP, and a championship.

He posted a .309 WS/48 which is 10th all time, and was one of only 6 guys to win MVP posting a WS/48 over .300 along with Kareem, MJ, Lebron, Curry, Jokic.

So that?s an extremely limited pool with the #1 player ever, #3 player ever, and the 1st (2nd all time), 4th, 5th and now 14th pick. KD, Giannis, Wilt, Bird, KG, Duncan, AD, Harden never did it

PG13 said it?s the best guard season since ?88 MJ and the only other name suggested was unanimous MVP Curry. I am surprised to get a guy who is #1 or #2 in the league over a 2 year period at #14, and more surprised by how hard it was to pull the trigger

CsBlog 05-25 Fantasy Draft Commish, OKC:

PG: SGA (24-25, MVP, 32 MPG)
SG: Kevin Durant (13-14, MVP, 39 MPG)
SF: ?
PF: ?
C: ?

Wow, that is an amazing combo. I had not realized they were together. Two uber-efficient prolific scorers. Their offensive games dovetail together nicely as well.

Kobe and Pau together again.  Nice pairing. Surprised Bean lasted this long, was getting more and more excited he might actually slip to me.

Kobe and Pau aren't going to win a lot of Celtics fan votes, haha.  With better luck, those 2009 and 2010 championships belong to us.

Kept trying to avoid it but I  couldn't argue with their success.

I don't think it's going to matter because all ten teams will be super-squads, but I think it's a touch early for Tatum.  That said, he's an all-NBA first teamer and a champion with a versatile game, so he's not a huge reach.

Lebron + Kobe would have been the most hateable team ever, lol.

I thought last year was Jokic's best season as a pro. Furthermore, I thought Giannis had his best season as a pro (improvement in midrange shooting). 2 of the 6 players in this draft. And SGA won the MVP over both them. Deservedly so in my view.
