Any interest in a (historical) fantasy draft?

Now we need to discuss the logistics beyond eligible player seasons between *EDIT* 2004-05 and this most recent season.

Does anyone who already signed on have an issue drafting between 10am-noon ET for our international audience? For later round picks could we do double duty, between 10-12 and 1-3?

Do we need 10 minutes for each spot or 5 mins? 10 mins puts us at from like 10-11:45am or 10:15-noon. Would we do 10 minutes for starters and 5 minutes for bench players, and draft twice as fast for the back half of our teams?

Let me know what you think. Any other logistics to discuss?

10min is good for starters. I am easy either way with the bench players.

Should we only do 10 rounds? 5 starters & 5 bench guys. I don't think there is any need for a deeper bench than that.

So I was hoping to sim a tournament of the teams, and to finalize a team they need 12 players. Not all 12 players get assigned PT but to do it without paying, the 11th and 12th men usually do sneak a few mins

On the flip side I get it if people don?t really care about the sim and are pressed for time. I?d say let?s try to draft 12 guys but if you need to, sit out the last 2 rounds and then just grab 2 UFAs when the draft ends.

I propose we begin next Tuesday, 7/22.

From Tuesday-Friday, we draft from 10:15-11:45am ET and pick one player a day with 10 minutes allotted per pick. Then the following week, we draft the same days at the same times but do 5 minutes per pick and draft 2 players a day. We?d have completed teams of 12 as of Friday, August 1st.

I think 5 minutes per pick in the 2nd week is easier than 2 a days.

If this is agreeable, I will put together a rules thread, determine the draft lottery order, and add a few notes and recos about the sim element. Eligible seasons are from 04-05 and onward.
