Dylan Harper is sick.

Dad was pretty good too.

I loved watching a young Ron Harper in his Cleveland Cavalier days. His athleticism, length and defense was incredible. Especially against MJ. MJ got bailed out so much when CLE traded Ron Harper away.

Carter Bryant = Rodney McCray

He makes it look easy. Defense = easy. Rebounding = easy. Handling the ball = easy. I don't know about his scoring or passing but given the rest of the package you would imagine it will only be a matter of time until he does that well too.

David Jones Garcia is getting a lot of praise from the commentators. Rightly so. His game is nice. Snaking into the paint off of PnR. Finishing plays. Scoring the ball. Making passes. Playing strong D. Rebounding the ball.

He looks an NBA player.

What is his contract status? If the Spurs do not already have him signed to a two-way, Brad Stevens should jump the queue and offer him a deal right away. He would do well in BOS' offense.

Is it Boris Diaw?

Who does Carter Bryant remind me of. The way he handles the ball. The pauses / hesitation dribbles. He massages it / manipulates the ball. Full control. Uses his body so well when he drives too. Very interesting.

Maybe it is Evan Turner.

San Antonio got their long term starting forward in Carter Bryant. Not sure whether he will be a SF or a PF. Could be either. It will depend how well he develops his outside shot.

Did they say Jameer Nelson Jr?

Wow, they did. Jameer's kid made SL. Similar to his dad. A short PG with a stocky frame. Playing backup PG for the Spurs SL squad.

How does Carter Bryant play only 19mpg for his college team? Average only 6ppg 4rpg?

How in the world were they keeping this guy off the floor. I cannot believe Arizona had 2 better forwards than this guy.

I mean, he only had 2 points today.

Defense was impressive, though.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Flagg played much better today offensively. Went 10-21 for 31pts.

No VJ Edgecombe for Philly.
No Knueppel for Charlotte.

I wanted to see those 2 guys go at it. Darn.

Why are they sitting out players on a marquee SL matchup? Crappy move by these teams.

Isn't he coming off the bench in summer league too?

By way of reference, Hugo reportedly is only .25" shorter than Bryant. His wingspan is a few inches shorter, and his standing reach is 1" shorter. Hugo had the biggest hands in the draft. Hugo actually weighed a few pounds more than Bryant.

I only bring this up, because they largely project to be similar players at the next level over the next few years. I think there is some hope that Bryant can play the 4 or small ball 5, but I think he is likely just a true forward, responsible for playing tough defense and playing off of primary creators as a shooter, slasher, cutter, and offensive rebounder.

I think Hugo projects to play similarly. I've been equally impressed with both Bryant's and Hugo's defense.

DJ Rodman - son of Dennis Rodman - is playing for the Charlotte Hornets SL team. He got 2 minutes tonight.

Averaged only 8ppg 5rpg in 27.5mpg as a 5yr senior at USC.

That center Yang for Portland moves really well for a
7?1/260lb player. Good coordination, too.
