Kyle Filopowski has been named MVP of the 2025 Summer League and headlines the All-Summer League First Team. Filipowski averaged 29.3 points, 7.7rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.3 blocks in 28.6 minutes across three Vegas Summer League games for the Utah Jazz.

Congrats to Filipowski. He was amazing to watch on offense. Lot of potential there.

All-Summer League First Team
- Nique Clifford, Kings
- Kyle Filipowski, Jazz
- David Jones-Garcia, Spurs
- Jordan Miller, Clippers
- Terrence Shannon Jr., Wolves

All-Summer League Second Team
- Ron Holland II, Pistons
- Isaac Jones, Kings
- Kon Knueppel, Hornets
- Ajay Mitchell, Thunder
- KJ Simpson, Hornets

* David Jones Garcia was dang impressive. He is not just an NBA player. He is a quality bench piece. Right now. Spurs got a find in him.

* I didn't watch the Clippers play so no idea about Jordan Miller.

* No surprise about Terrence Shannon. He already looks like one of the better backup SFs in the league and a future long term starting caliber SF.

* Nique Clifford looked smooth for Sactown. They got a steal there. If I was Sacramento I would be looking to dump Zach LaVine & Malik Monk in order to free up playing time for this guy with Keon Ellis as his competition. Two good young SGs. Vets blocking their path. And the team is going nowhere with the vets. Time to move on. This guy is too good not to play ... and playing time will be hard to get with Z LaVine and M Monk ahead of him.

* I am in love with Ajay Mitchell. He can be a Derrick White level player if he keeps working on his outside shot. A do-it-all guard. Tough physical defender. Takes care of the ball. Can handle and pass. Rebounds. Can drive some. Can score some. Big talent.

* Knueppel I seemed to miss his good games and only saw him at his worst. Hopefully I will have a bit of time to see some of his good play. His assist numbers in SL were very impressive for a wing.

David Jones-Garcia has agreed to a Two-Way contract with the San Antonio Spurs. Jones-Garcia was an All-Summer League first team selection, averaging 21.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

Jones-Garcia appeared in 46 G League games last season, averaging 21.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 29.9 minutes.

Jones-Garcia went undrafted out of Memphis in 2024.

Brad Stevens should have offered him a contract right after that 1st game. It was clear the guy was a stud. San Antonio were slow to tie him up. The chance was there to steal him away.
