Neither team getting their big man the ball. Maluach or Alex Sarr. Both on the periphery. No attempt to get them shots. Not attempt to get them involved in the game. They are the 2 most interesting players on the floor. The highest picks on either side. Yet ... nothing.

Phoenix have barely even played Maluach. 12 minutes in the first half. This is like little league. What is the point of bringing these giant rosters when you know 60-80% of them will never play for you? Why prioritize them getting minutes over a guy like Maluach? Maluach is your franchise center. You plan on him being there for the next 10-15 years. Get him the ball. Let him learn.

Maluach is very stiff. Not much motion in his body in his movements. He will only get stiffer and slower as he puts on more weight / muscle.

He reminds me of a young Valanciunas. Physically & athletically.

------------------

A Sarr has had 2 fantastic blocks on Maluach. Especially the 2nd one. The first one was on a close shot. I think it was a jump hook. The second one was a driving dunk where Sarr recovered from behind, rejected it with Maluach falling to the floor.

Sarr is an incredible athlete but he continues to look like a guy who has talent but no idea how to use it.

Maluach gets revenge on Sarr. Stuffs his turnound J in the paint back in his face.

Washington have 7 first round draft picks from the past 2 years on their SL team and they are getting blown out by 17pts late in Q3. Not a good sign for how they will do next season.

Literally just an AAU team right now. Your-turn-my-turn basketball. No one making winning basketball plays. Everyone standing around on both sides of the ball. When you are defending the ball or you have the ball, then you try hard.

Pathetic basketball. Really can't stand it.

They have some talent on their team right now, but its hard not to think they are about to waste the talent of 6-8 high level athletes/players because they don't know how to develop them into winning basketball players.

The commentators interviewed the Wizards head coach. Sounded like a load of BS from him. No insight. Overly optimistic and praiseful of his players for mediocre things. Meh.

Caleb Love looks really good. He finished with 18pts, 6rebs, 2ast, 1stl. Went 7-16 from the field and 4-7 from 3pt.

Can?t believe he went undrafted. I was hoping Brad would take him late second. Ugh.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Oh my. That pass is incredible. Yang Hansen can pass the ball. Wow. That looked even better on replay than it did on real time. Small window to hit the cutter. Perfect pass off the dribble.

Hansen finished with 24mins 10pts 4reb 5ast 3blk 1stl

Hansen had a drive where he went left, spin right, spin back left. He lost the ball to a double team who picked his pocket but Hansen looked comfortable putting the ball down on the floor and driving. Sengun-esque.

Another drive. Right side of the floor was cleared out. Hansen drove. Pinned the defender on his hip, kept him there, carried him to the basket for a layup. Never allowed the defender to get back in the play. A slow motion drive.

Post up. Feels out his defender. Quick spin move baseline. Beats the defender, seals him, defender fouls him to stop the layup.

They interviewed Chauncey Billups. Some interesting notes. Talked about Rob Williams was a great mentor to D Clingan last year. Also talked with Legler about how Yang Hansen likes physical contact / seeks physical contact. Said Shaedon Sharpe was starting to take pride in his defense and seeking out tougher assignments. Expects Scoot to make a major leap next season.

Hansen has good defense around the rim. Not the quickest or most mobile. Does not defend well away from the hoop. Good positionally. Not explosive around the hoop as a shot-blocker but he is big and smart defensively.

Hansen nails a 3. Missed badly but it went in off glass from right wing. Billups talked about the coaches there see him developing a 3 point shot in time. He has the basics down. This guy is impressive. Misses the next 3 off a PnP.

Yang Hansen is a talent. He should have been a top 5 pick.

My first thought was they gotta get rid of Rob Williams to clear playing time for this guy but after hearing Chauncey Billups talk about how beneficial Timelord was to D Clingan during Clingan's rookie year mentoring him and teaching him how to be effective ... I changed my mind. If Timelord can do that for Clingan, keep him around to mentor Yang Hansen.

That little guy for Dallas looks tiny. Did the announcer say Nembhard?

Update: Ryan Nembhard. Brother of Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard. He stands 6-0. Playing against Dylan Harper at a muscular 6-6. He dwarfes little Ryan Nembhard. It doesn't look like the little guy has great speed to make up for his lack of size either. Average speed with small size. Bad mix.

I like the way Carter Bryant handles the ball. Confident. Comfortable. Handles the ball like a guard.

Good defense on Flagg too.

Wow, that was an amazing defensive recovery by Carter Bryant. Got beat on the drive by a quick guard, trailing the play, guard throws a lob pass to the big man, Carter Bryant doesn't give up on the play, tracks the ball, beats the big man to the lofted pass and breaks up the lob dunk. Great effort.

Miles Kelly looks an interesting player for Dallas. Quick. Good shooter. 6-6 SG.
