Oh my. That pass is incredible. Yang Hansen can pass the ball. Wow. That looked even better on replay than it did on real time. Small window to hit the cutter. Perfect pass off the dribble.
Hansen finished with 24mins 10pts 4reb 5ast 3blk 1stl
Hansen had a drive where he went left, spin right, spin back left. He lost the ball to a double team who picked his pocket but Hansen looked comfortable putting the ball down on the floor and driving. Sengun-esque.
Another drive. Right side of the floor was cleared out. Hansen drove. Pinned the defender on his hip, kept him there, carried him to the basket for a layup. Never allowed the defender to get back in the play. A slow motion drive.
Post up. Feels out his defender. Quick spin move baseline. Beats the defender, seals him, defender fouls him to stop the layup.
They interviewed Chauncey Billups. Some interesting notes. Talked about Rob Williams was a great mentor to D Clingan last year. Also talked with Legler about how Yang Hansen likes physical contact / seeks physical contact. Said Shaedon Sharpe was starting to take pride in his defense and seeking out tougher assignments. Expects Scoot to make a major leap next season.
Hansen has good defense around the rim. Not the quickest or most mobile. Does not defend well away from the hoop. Good positionally. Not explosive around the hoop as a shot-blocker but he is big and smart defensively.
Hansen nails a 3. Missed badly but it went in off glass from right wing. Billups talked about the coaches there see him developing a 3 point shot in time. He has the basics down. This guy is impressive. Misses the next 3 off a PnP.
