Shedeur Sanders not being selected in the first round is now considered racism, per media!

Didn't a black QB go #1?  After black QBs went #1, #2 and #8 last year?

The media is always trying to push controversy.

Yeah, it's an idiotic argument.  The reason he is falling is A) because he's not that good & B) teams are probably shying away from the circus there.

It's not racism.

Besides Mel Kiper and the national media (ESPN), most other experts and mocks didn't think much of Shadeur. Now yes, I do think it's still crazy he didn't get selected at all in the first round, but there weren't many people who thought he would actually go in the Top-20. The fact that Dart got chosen before him says a lot, and NYG even traded up to actually get him!

If it weren't for his dad's name we wouldn't be talking about him much. That's just the truth.

Crazy thing is that if he?s not up for a starting job, is this the energy that you want your developmental backup bringing into your locker room?

XXXX
If you don?t feel like clicking the Instagram link, this was a video that Shadeur?s friend posted where he is working out and sees that Field Yates has him mocked 6 to the Raiders and he repeated the exclaims ?thats cap? and ?I ain?t going 6?.

Well, he was right.  Projecting him at #6 was complete cap.

But yeah, it's the circus.  Whatever team drafts him is seemingly getting a diva, along with a father that rivals LaVar Ball as a distraction.  And, Sanders appears to be good to very good at a lot of things, but I'm not sure that he really stands out among NFL QBs in any of them.

Utter cap indeed.

Even LeBron James was only able to get his son essentially a G league route. Shadeur is a lot more accomplished than Bronny but Deion has no leverage over the NFL to get his son drafted with a top pick.

Not to mention all of those weird rumors that Deion would take over as coach eventually. Can?t imagine why Daboll didn?t want to take Shadeur.

I'd like to see the Pats pick for value at #36. There are a couple of EDGE players left, plus TreVeyon Henderson
that are 1st round talents we can use. Throw a 5th rounder at someone and move up 2-3 spots if necessary. I wouldn't hate Darius Alexander as DT insurance here either, another guy with a borderline 1st round grade that would make us more physical and talented on the line of scrimmage. I just can't trust the Barmore situation, unfortunately.

After that, we also have more than enough ammo to place ourselves in the middle of the 2nd round and get a WR we like before they are all gone next round. Use one of both of our 3 rounders.

All in all, if we walk away with another talented defender for our defensive line, plus a WR fit, I'm happy. As a wildcard we upgrade the RB room, I'd take it as well. Should be interesting!

I was not expecting a RB at 38 but I have been a big fan of Henderson since his freshman year.

I like it. We have systematically upgraded 3 key positions on defense (free agency), and 3 on offense (Diggs, Campbell, Henderson). This team was lacking in overall talent and 6+ upgrades is about all you could possibly accomplish in one offseason. We should still have a shot at a WR good enough to be our 2nd or 3rd option in the near future, too.

Major upgrades on defense, new LT, new RB, new coach, and new #1 receiver is quite the haul.

Henderson is a top flight talent. Huge boost for the Pats. 5'10 210 rb.
I've seen him described by scouts as "electricity personified"
Hes also viewed as easily the best pass blocking and receiving rb in the draft. Great pick

There were definitely a lot of WRs available and even DE Ezeiruaku. Surprised they took RB

Hoping they add a WR in the 3rd round, maybe someone like Tre Harris?

I was between Henderson and Burden. Time will tell, but we added a playmaker to help Drake
