Ahh - We're all a little different and aging doesn't take us all down the same road (well eventually it does, but you know what I mean).  I wish getting older put everything into perspective and allowed for a perfectly practical existence, but unfortunately sometimes even older people ruminate unnecessarily.  I'm glad that losses like last night provide only occasional twinges of annoyance and doesn't impact my day that much.  But there are still old sports events that provide some present day agida - 1987, 2010, the Patriots winning the final game versus the Bills.

To KP - he is not the same offensive machine he's been and hope (expect) he'll get back to himself soon - before he's injured again.  I hate to say this because I really love the guy, but I do wonder if his head needs to be more into the game and less fan-responsive.  The bloody head departure and re-entry was great, but I think I want his game face tightened up a little as we head into the rest of the playoffs.  How about an edge, a bit of mean (if he has it in him)?  Horford is showing that side and KP needs to follow his lead.
I can't help but wonder if the atypical misses that KP has had this series might be due to his head not being quite as much in the game as it needs to be.

the physical play has affected his shot he can't really post up well, he's played one decent game- he's 3 ball is non existent I have to give the magic their props...I can't believe we are not blowing them outta the water they have taken out our strengths and now we are battling With them playing iso ball and dealing with fouls which is what they want.

Woke up still feeling annoyed.

But where I'm at right now, the sun rose and blue skies filled the air. New day. On to Sunday

My parents always used to tell me, ?Well, the Celtics (actually, it was the Sox, but still applies) don?t care about your day, so you shouldn?t worry about theirs.?

Didn?t help them, either.

most of us lived vicariously through sports teams in our 20s and 30s. once you get in your 40s and 50s you stop letting thios affect you and prioritize time and others in your life. pretty sure he is under 40 maybe even under 35 so i would cut him some slack. i used to be mad for days after a loss.
do i still love and enjoy sports/ sure! i just do not let it dictate my life anymore.

an old saying of mine is do the (insert favorite team name here) pay your bills? if not you should not care anymore than 15 minutes after game is over. vent and move on to bigger things in life. They do not care about you or your life struggles.  8)

Great that you have developed that perspective.  I'm a fan of Celtics Basketball and University of Tennessee Football going on 50+ years now and I still am miserable after tough losses. I don't identify with or admire the players the way I used to. They have less loyalty and tend to be more self-centered than years past (though these Celtics are a decent bunch), but the Green Jersey and the Orange T on the helmet still hit me pretty deep.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce
