Anyone know why he wasn?t playing more in Chicago? I am happy with that signing even not knowing what is happening lately for him. Seems like a solid enough bench wing.

He?ll be a nice option when Sam plays like garbage.

Could really use him tonight.  The bench forgot how to play.

Yeah, Hauser?s bubble may have burst.  Craig may take his minutes.

Perfect veteran insurance. He probably won't be part of the playoff rotation but he get moments to shine for the rest of the year. Exactly the type of player they needed to fill out the bench.

Yup, end of bench vet insurance, shoots 40% from 3 the last 3 seasons and adds to our wing depth.

Excellent 3rd stringer.

Solid primary backup SF. Excellent insurance as a 3rd stringer behind Hauser.

Holiday      Pritchard    (Davison)
White         Hauser      Scheierman
Brown        Craig         Walsh
Tatum        Horford      Tillman
Porzingis    Kornet        Queta

I like the first 5 and the second 5 a lot.  Gets a little scratchy with the third 5, but that is going to be true of any team and largely doesn't matter unless there are injuries.

I see Craig as probably ahead of Walsh and Tillman.  I have not seen Craig play in a couple of seasons that I can recall.  What I remember of him from PHX was that he was a solid fringe starter/6th man level player.  He started 60 games for PHX in 2022/23.  It is hard to join a team mid season and have much impact, so we shall see.

I understand Craig has been injured in CHI (an ankle sprain).  25 days ago the report was that he would be out at least 2 weeks.  His last game with CHI was Dec 30.  He scored 18 point on 5-7 from 3 that game.  Added 5 rebs and 2 assists in 21 minutes.  Also had a steal.  I am optimistic that he will give us some meaningful minutes.

He ended up 2 of 5 and his 3P % has consistently improved over the season.  I think Craig is a good find, but I'm not so down on Hauser.

That is fair.  Hauser has definitely been getting it back but still not the impact he was having last season, on either end of the court.  Probably some lingering injury.  No guarantee that Craig is any better.  Maybe the best thing is to just sit Hauser for a bit, let Craig take his minutes to work through the acclamation period, and then reassess the rotation down the road a little.

The playoff rotation will include Pritchard and Horford for sure.  Then probably some combination of Craig and Hauser (maybe match up dependent), and a little bit of Kornet mixed in.
