Not necessarily.  The trade isn't official yet, and there's still time to add to it.  I'm not sure that that's likely, but a lot of times these reported deals become multi-team deals.

Unless I am mistaken, we can still use his TPE in the next day to bring in someone. Since we can neither aggregate nor take back more in salary, there isn?t the same incentive to get all the ducks lined up in a row.

I'm not sure if we can use a TPE or not -- I thought 2nd apron teams couldn't generate TPEs -- but it's easy enough to delay the trade for 27 hours.

I thought they couldn?t generate TPEs that lasted into a future season.  But yes, if it hasn?t been processed, there can still be a related move.

Can confirm Houston absorbed Jaden Springer into their MLE space. Celtics create a $4M trade exception by sending out Springer with nobody returning. That expires at the deadline tomorrow since they no longer carry over year-to-year, but worth watching what they may do w/ it.

Celtics are at 13 players, they have two weeks to get up to the minimum of 14.

They could still use the TPE generated by Springer up until the deadline, but I'd guess this is just about the tax savings and they'll probably fill out the roster with a minimum signing.

Almost 2/3 of the way through the season, top 9 rotation players are all healthy, second in the east on pace for 58 wins. The C's are in a pretty good place, there's not a whole lot they can reasonably do to upgrade their roster in a way that will actually matter.

I'm pretty upset. Would have preferred to keep Springer but I thought at least we could get back a player for him in a trade. A salary dump feels meh

Expiring contract and the Pelicans are basically done for the season.
