I will be curious to see what the starting pitching rotation is for the next few weeks.  The current 5 have been pretty good lately:

    Crochet (L)
    Dobbins (R)
    Bello (R)
    Giolitto (R)
    Buehler (R)

Houck and Crawford are due back soon.  They may both end up in the bullpen.  Hicks probably to the bullpen also.  Don't see a slot for Harrison as a starter right away.  I do expect to see some follow up trades so some of these guys might be heading out.  It would be nice to package a couple of prospects and bring back a front end starter at the deadline, preferably a lefty.

Yeah, whatever. Time to get ready for NFL season. This team needs to SELL at the deadline

Patriots football will finally be interesting again since 2021. Hopefully. With Mike Vrabel at the helm.

Won 8 out of 10 games. Swept the Yankees. Good time to trade your best offensive player who is on pace for 33Hr/126RBI. Well played, Mr. Henry! Team has won like 2 games since.  :blank:

The former Boston Red Sox star is dealing with a "slight groin strain," according to the San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser.

He is 6 for 31 so far with SF, with 1 Hr (against BOS of course).  I think the Giants have won 3 games since the trade, exactly the same as BOS.  Of course now he is hurt, dinged up, from running the bases.  All of it is a small sample size, but none of it surprising.  BOS pitching has continued to be bad, inconsistent.  Devers is banged up.

Hey. Devers still beat the Sox game 2 of the series vs SF. He?s still leagues better than any hitter the Sox have.

This team is weird.  Just when you think they are sellers, they start playing like they should be buyers.  I think they're going to sell off Duran to the Padres for a package based around Salas, and they sell off Chapman and Hicks becomes the closer.  Wouldn't surprise me to see Story dealt too, with the Sox having to eat some of that contract.

Sox have a tough stretch coming up after this Rockies series.  Rays, Cubs, Phillies, & Dodgers.   And you also have an Astros series looming at the beginning of August.

Tough schedule....Rays (3rd AL East); Cubs (1st NL Central); Phillies (1st NL East); Dodgers (1st NL West); and Houston (1st AL West).  Let's see what this team is made of....

I'll be at the Cubbies series.  Always fun having the Sox at Wrigley.

I do find it interesting that ever since the Devers trade, despite all the comments right after the trade including from Devers himself, he still hasn't played the field. And apparently Will Clark (Giants legend) invited Devers to a first base workout, and Devers didn't show up

I still hate the trade and we do need to replace Devers still in the lineup, but I do find this + the lack of social media posts or comments from teammates interesting. Like all of these guys have social media accounts and they did interviews. No one had any sad emojis, goodbye Devers posts, etc. I've seen role/bench players for the Sox get traded and get more heartfelt messages or quotes afterwards from teammates who would miss them.
