The Red Sox will keep Houck on the injured list for the time being while the training staff works with him in Boston. "That?s what we've got right now," Cora told reporters, per Red Sox broadcaster Mike Monaco. "We'll have more information in the upcoming days."
MLB.com?s Ian Browne reported Houck's setback stems from a "recurrence of the right pronator strain." Houck initially landed on the 15-day injured list May 14 due to the right pronator strain.
This is too bad. I am not worried (yet) about the Sox losing 2 (so far) to the Cubs. Even as the team/roster stands, I think they are a strong contender for a play-in spot. If they can add a pitcher, all the better. But it would have been real nice to get Houck back (the 2024 version of Houck).
