I agree with Scal though, Poeltl is a great player but against the C's he's legit prime Shaq lol

Jakob Poetl becomes Shaq whenever he plays the Celtics.

Great minds think alike  ;)

Overhelping, getting caught in no man's land.  I don't know what this defense is.

Terrible defense. Guys have no idea who to guard.

It?s a bit concerning that they haven?t addressed this. The D has been atrocious the past games.

PP +15. Every bench player is a plus. Tatum is the only starter with a plus but it's only a +1... More bench Joe!

This is what I miss about Ime. He wouldn't let this year's effort fly and would be calling out the team regularly for this non-sense. That 202e team was nowhere near as talented and regularly blew leads due to inexperience and lack of talent, but I don't know if I ever remember them playing with this kind of lackluster effort.

I don't think I've ever heard Joe call out our guys, even when they're clearly not playing hard or engaged out there. He always makes excuses and tries to spin it as a "process-oriented" focus rather than focused on outcomes. But to me that's just an excuse to justify his whole philosophy and schtick, given the variability inherent to "Mazzulla Ball".

Lately  I've been watching the Cs just to see PP play. Other players are just disappointing, they play like they don't care.

I agree they just go through the motions.

The Celtics need a better understanding of what makes a good 2 for 1. Tatum was trying to push it ahead likely to get the 2 for 1, but if you rebound the ball with 35.5 pushing for a shot is a bad idea. You needs to shoot it with 33+ seconds left to get enough time on the back end, if you need to rush the first shot that quickly a 2 for 1 becomes dumb.

See keev, what you are suggesting would require a high basketball IQ and an ability to make consistent smart decisions with the ball, neither of which our two all-stars have ever demonstrated in abundance. Dumb players & dumb coach.

TBH I don't think Joe is telling tatum to make a bad pass in that situation. Its just a mistake, it happens.

Toronto 13 for 16 on FGs this quarter.  Unacceptable.

And now a zone - i.e., an admission that we can't guard them.

And then the following possession four straight missed threes on a single possession and then the make comes on the only shot inside the three point line. Like, get the hint guys. Good Lord. So frustrating.

Have the Celtics gotten any stops on defense this quarter.

This possession sums this team up. 5 tries to score and 5 bricks from 3

Not winning any games when you allow teams to go 14/17 in one quarter

Tonight is rock bottom. Celtics have lost all pride.

All Tatum's three point makes have been off catch and shoot. All his misses have been off the dribble.
