Off-topic: What's something that you hate that everybody seems to like?

Totally agree with Roy on ranch.  Despise it.  Living in the Midwest, it is everywhere too.

Ha!  You wouldn't believe the amount of grief I get on that one. 

However, redeeming myself, I am a staunch supporter of Malort and generally don't mind the taste.

Here's one that's been getting more so with me over the years:  Super Bowl ads.

I don't necessarily mind the ads themselves, I just don't like feeling obligated to watch them.

I've gotten used to watching most games solo and on DVR.  If I can't zip through the commercials I feel inefficient and get a little bothered.  But most of the time I end up watching the Super Bowl with people who are not real sports fans and are more interested in the entertainment.

Also, not a fan of the 2-for-1 thing in the NBA at the end of quarters.  I'd rather take a good shot and play defense, then heave up a rushed shot just on the off chance that we might get another possession.

My sister and I HATE the smell of it. I've never even tried it myself (granted I am mostly a vegetarian, still eat eggs + dairy products but no meat, and fully quit chicken after 2019).

Reading books for pleasure - just don?t enjoy it. I read so much in grad school and my job is so heavily analytical that I just can?t force myself to sit down and read for pleasure.

Beer and/or wine - I?m not a big drinker as it is, but if I?m going to drink something I want it to taste good. I feel like people enjoy beer and wine more due to social convention and because ?they?re supposed to? rather than because they truly enjoy it and like its taste.

Agree 100%.  I would prefer one good shot over two bad shots (which is what you get most of the time).

A recent development, and basketball-related:  Giannis.

He's the leading vote-getter for the All-Star game, ahead of Jokic.  I just don't find him likeable anymore after the elbows and the fake handshake stuff with JB.  And, I'm sick of seeing him mentioned as an MVP candidate when his team is 17-16.  Particularly after he's the architect of blowing up the identity of his team and becoming a coach killer.

IPA. I like beer but I find IPA to be too hoppy and bitter.  Give me a nice lager or pilsner any day.

Edit: I just saw the previous posts about sour beer. Oops, should have replied to that, which reminds me of another dislike: People who don?t read the whole thread and say something that has already been discussed.
