Off-topic: What's something that you hate that everybody seems to like?

You never know what off-topic threads will be interesting, but since it's the doldrums of January, I'm starting one.

My first one:  ranch dressing.  I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza the other night, and I told them to hold the ranch.  They didn't.  Being a good sport, I tried it.  Nope.  Still nasty.

Ranch is everywhere these days, and I will never, ever get the appeal.

Durian. Idk about other folks but I hate that smell lol. I'm fine with other food like stinky tofu and such, but durian gets me.

I also hate the smell of cigarette. Feels like I'm choking. Wish there are more casinos that are non-smoking and more outdoor places that are smoke-free.

Pancakes. Everyone loves them, but for some reason I can't stand them

I think there's a lot of variance in pancakes.  I love a good stack, especially with blueberries and good syrup.  But, too many pancakes have a tendency to be too heavy and dense, without a lot of flavor.

I hate drive through for food or coffee.  Always seems to be a struggle.  More likely something comes out wrong.  I would rather just run inside.  My family thinks I am crazy and they always wants to do drive through.

All mustards?  I'm a big mustard guy, except for the classic French's yellow.

Used to be 100% repulsed by any and all mustards.  But I'm finding in my mid 50's that against all odds I'm starting to be able to tolerate, and dare I say, if I can adjust my ingrained automatic reaction, actually enjoying some - like a spicy mustard and maybe a little honey mustard.  I've been able to deal with Dijon in dressing and marinades for a while. 

I'm hoping my father doesn't see this!  I've been the target of a lifetime of trading for my hatred of mustard. 

I still can't get near yellow mustard or Gulden's.

Totally agree with Roy on ranch.  Despise it.  Living in the Midwest, it is everywhere too.

I also don't like pickles, but love burgers.  So many pickles have been wasted.
