The Miami Heat are planning to suspend Jimmy Butler for two games, sources tell ESPN. Butler missed a team flight Wednesday and had plans to join the Heat tonight. Now Miami is keeping him home from its two-game road trip.

He's not back anymore.

This guy reminds me of Aaron Rodgers, with a side of Antonio Brown

I don't know about anyone else but I'm enjoying the implosion of Jimmy Butler.

The lunchpail has fallen open and it's fantastic.

It sounds like Toronto may be the team to facilitate a trade between Phoenix and Miami.

PHX: Trades Beal and receives J Butler
TOR: Trades Olynyk, Bruce Brown, C Boucher and receives Beal
MIA: Trades J Butler and receives Olynyk, Bruce Brown and C Boucher

May need some picks there for Miami. Bruce Brown and Chris Boucher are both expiring contracts. So that is $34mil that comes off their books this summer. Olynyk has 1 extra year on his contract at $12mil. So no money beyond 2026 and only $12mil for 2025-26. Plus, Olynyk is a good player who fills a need for Miami.

Toronto gets a #1 scoring option to place alongside Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett in Bradley Beal while giving up little of value in order to acquire Beal.

G: Quickley, Davion Mitchell
G: B Beal, J Walter
F: RJ Barrett, G Dick, Agbaji
F: S Barnes,
C: J Poeltl, J Mogbo

That should put Toronto back in the playoffs next season.

Good deal for Toronto.

G: Herro, Rozier
G: B Brown, A Burks
F: D Robinson, P Larsson
F: K Olynyk, Jaquez, Highsmith
C: Bam, K Ware

That could be a .500 team or near .500 team without Jimmy. Bruce Brown is a good fit in that Miami culture. Hard nosed player. Olynyk has been there before and played well next to Bam. Gave them size in the paint while also providing the floor spacing Bam requires.

Not much of a return for Miami so they may need picks to sweeten the offer. It would allow them to move on from Jimmy though while not hurting their long term cap flexability. They could always trade Olynyk in a subsequent deal to get another expiring contract or keep Olynyk and trade him in the summer to free up extra cash if desired. So financially it is a good option.

G: Tyus Jones, Monte Morris
G: D Booker, Grayson Allen
F: J Butler, Ryan Dunn
F: K Durant, R O Neale
C: N Richards, Mason Plumlee, Nurkic

That is a title contender. Butler would be a big upgrade over Beal. PHX badly need more defense and physicality on the wings. Playing Devin Booker at SF has hurt them especially alongside a dodgy defensive backcourt. Butler and Durant would be a quality defensive forward combo with two strong defensive backups behind them. That would give them more stability / defensive integrity.

The guy is a complete moron. Dude, all you basically had to do was say nothing, play out this year, and then go into this offseason with a 52M option while being able to explore other teams via S&T, while maintaining a solid relationship with Miami in helping to facilitate that. And if he did get hurt, he could again just say nothing and "milk it" so he just sat out games instead of intentionally doing it now.

Instead it seems like he's gonna lose a lot of money and not be able to find a new team due to them having luxury tax issues, etc.

Jimmy Butler has always been a cancer. Love seeing Heat fans eat their words for overvaluing this guy

I just don't understand Butler's actions.  Why put himself in a position to get suspended, losing millions of dollars in the process?

It keeps getting better and better. Jimmy just showing the cancer that he is.

Good on the Heat for staying strong on this, but if reports are to be believed they helped create this monster by treating him differently and allowing him to buck all of the organization?s expectations all along.

There are just some folks out there that always need to voice their concerns. Jimmy is an employee and he's disgruntled and unhappy.

Not that I'm defending him, but folks like him are out there. Tho I do agree, he should just pull a Joel Embiid. Milk his way through the szn while getting paid. Play a game and fake an injury.

Heat has a cancer in their team, so I'll enjoy it. Just three years ago they were so dominant, and if Butler's 3 went in it would've been a different story. Three years later, a franchise is just slowly imploding each day

Spo gave him a chance by continuously starting him. He played with zero effort. Now he?s insulted when being relegated to the bench. What exactly does he want? He?s showing the whole NBA his true character.

Can?t believe people wanted to trade Jaylen for Buckets

The history with Buckets is there? Pretty much every day he?s had with the team has ended in tears and discord like this. I wouldn?t touch him with a 10 foot pole.
