Siakam making some great hustle in Q4

Looked like Mathurin lost all confidence in that Q4. On both ends of the floor. Lost confidence in his shot on offense. Became tentative. Lost confidence trying to defend J-Dub. Things kept backfiring on him. Became tentative.

J-Dub has done a great job of using his body on drives against Indy's smaller guards. Mathurin, Nembhard. They are struggling to deal with his physical power.

Nesmith should be a good matchup for J-Dub but he has had a bad defensive game. He has given up at least 4 dunks on plays where he has either fallen asleep or allowed J-Dub to simply out-hustle him.

I have forgiveness for Siakam and McConnell because they made lots of positive plays to overcome their miscues. Nembhard had a few good minutes but was otherwise lackluster. Haliburton struggled throughout.

I don't understand why Myles Turner played so little. He barely played at all in Q4. He was starting to come alive in Q3 scoring 7pts in the period. Indy were playing well with Tony Bradley so they stuck with him. They brought M Turner back in around 7:30 to play in Q4. Took him out 2min later for Obi Toppin and played small the rest of the way.

Eh, those Lakers were dysfunctional (that whole Karl Malone/Vanessa Bryant thing), old, and tired and the Pistons were the defending champs. There is really nothing the Pacers do that that?s uniquely a Thunder weakness to predict a 5 game Indy victory. Like OKC was really going to lose two games at home to go out in 5?

I think you're misremembering partially:  the Pistons weren't the defending champs.  They had gotten swept in the conference finals by the Nets the previous season (2002-03), with the Spurs winning the title.  But, I don't disagree with your overarching point:  there was no rationale basis to expect the Pacers would dominate OKC.

if they dont choke away game 4, they easily could have closed it out last night especially if Haliburton doesn't reinjure his leg.
